The World is G-d's Personal Garden

Tonight is Yud Shevat, the Yahrtzeit of the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe ZT"L (1950), and acceptants of leadership by the current Lubavitcher Rebbe ZT"L (1951).

As part of their project to promote viewing the newly released video of the Rebbe's Farbrengen on Yud Shevat, 5732, JEM has released a trailer. The trailer is sponsored by Mendy and Leah Schurder and family, in loving memory of the Zeide, Reb Tzvi Hirsch Chitrik.

A video of a landmark Chasidic discourse by the Lubavitcher Rebbe has been released and will be viewed around the world. The discourse, featured on a new DVD release of the Rebbe's Farbrengen of Yud Shevat, 5732-1972, is based on the second chapter of the Previous Rebbe's Maamar Bosi L'gani, matching the chapter which is traditionally studied this year. The clip below is a preview of this video.

According to Rabbi Akiva Nussbaum, Director of the new DVD, "Each year on Yud Shevat, the Rebbe would recite an original Maamar based on his father-in-law's landmark discourse of the same name. With twenty chapters in the Previous Rebbe's Maamar, the Rebbe would focus on a different chapter each year, beginning in 1951. This year, 2012, corresponds to the Rebbe's Maamorim in 1952, 1972 and 1992."

In addition to the Maamar, the rest of the newly-released Farbrengen is particularly fascinating, and will be being screened by Shluchim for their friends at Chabad centers worldwide.
