Raphael Melloul - Shalom - Single

For a year now, chassidic music artist Raphael Melloul has been slowly approaching his debut album. From single to single, the range of possibilities that are almost impossible for him is revealed. This time, he presents a completely chasidic hit “Shalom.” The words of the Mishnah in mesechtas Uktzin who describes the virtue of Shalom in Israel:”אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן בֶּן חֲלַפְתָּא, לֹא מָצָא הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא כְּלִי מַחֲזִיק בְּרָכָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל אֶלָּא הַשָּׁלוֹם, שֶׁנֶּאמר ה’ עֹז לְעַמּוֹ יִתֵּן ה’ יְבָרֵךְ אֶת עַמּוֹ בַשָּׁלוֹם (תהילים כט)”.

In this charged period, the words like the melody fall on very attentive ears. The lyrics and melody were written by Elchanan Elchadad, and the bouncy arrangement belongs to Shmuel Cohen. “Shalom” is already the third single, last summer Rafael released his first single, and since then he has been releasing more and more hits. His songs on are constantly being added to radio hit playlists and played on repeat.

“When Elchanan Elchadad sent me the song, I really liked the strong message, I immediately connected to the strong and happy rhythmic melody, and I felt that the song ‘Shalom‘ sits well on me,” says Rafael. Already in the first demo, everyone who was in the studio realized that it was Raphael’s summer song, “I feel like I bring in this song the authentic follower of yesteryear…”.

“I make sure that all my songs have a positive and strengthening message,” says Raphael.

As mentioned, with such a lively melody and arrangement, it will be difficult to get through the summer without humming it over and over again…

Raphael Melloul - Ma Hasipur - Music Video

The question was asked and now, it has been answered: Raphael Melloul, one of the most promising singers today, releases a new single, with a happy, rhythmic and lively vibe - "Ma Hasipur?"

The answer to the question is in the lyrics of the song. Our story in the days following recent tragedies, where we find ourselves at the moment, is quite simple, and that's the whole story. Faith, Emunah, joy and the removal of our daily worries are the key. Raphael Melloul offers us all the official refreshment of the summer of 5771 - a rhythmic, happy and graceful song "Ma Hasipur?" It’s impossible not to get caught up in the melody and hum it over and over again. Melloul has a very positive energy.

"What's the story/Ma Hasipur"? It’s exactly what we needed at this time. The song was born through the lyrics of the international lyricist/composer Miriam Israeli, coupled with the melody of Eli Klein, and musically produced and arranged by the talented duo of Eli Klein & Yitzy Berry. The exciting video was directed by the mega talented music and video producer Sruli Broncher.

"Ma Hasipur?" comes after the success of Raphael’s previous original single "Achakeh Lo" and "Aneinu". Aneinu is an impressive cover version that paid tribute to the original song by Sruli Ginsberg. It was released by Raphael during last year. Melloul is currently working in the US, along with his manager Shmuel Peer on an intriguing debut album that will excite us all.

Raphael Melloul - Mechakeh - Music Video

Raphael Melloul is a name you will be hearing a lot of in the future. He is now releasing his debut single, the first taste of his upcoming debut album.

Raphael, a native of France, immigrated to Eretz Yisrael as a child with his parents because of anti-Semitism which was on the rise in his native country. At the age of 15, he was accepted into the Yeshiva “Pachad Yitzchok” in Yerushalayim. It wasn’t long before his friends realized that this talented Bachur had a spectacular voice. From there, he began singing at every opportunity that presented itself to him. There, Bein Hazmanim and Bein Hasdorim (between classes and sessions) Raphael began to perform officially.

His debut was made possible by a friend who lent him his keyboard to play at a wedding at the Great Synagogue in Yerushalayim. Raphael, whose talent was still hidden at this point, began to sing while everyone was busy preparing for the wedding. After hearing his amazing voice, guests from both families immediately asked him to sing the couple to the Chuppah. From that moment on, Raphael became a popular singer at major events, going on to perform in Brazil, France, Switzerland, and of course in Eretz Yisrael.

Raphael got married and started a family, which meant supporting a family by performing all over the world. It wasn’t long before fans and guests would start asking and begging Raphael for original material. Now, at 27, Raphael embarks on his own musical journey. The best musicians and producers have joined Raphael in the making of his debut album, which he is currently recording. Raphael flew to the US to meet prolific composer Yitzy Waldner to see if they could create something special. Yitzy’s melody added another dimension to his original song. During these days, when panic and uncertainty prevail, Raphael is releasing his single Achakeh Lo as a prayer to help us get through these hard times.

“I decided to stay true to the words of the Passuk that have always held me,” Melloul reasoned. It is with this song, that we yearn for the ultimate Geula!
