Many think that the idea of a Farbrengen is just to have a good time. Sit around, share some Torah, sing some good niggunim and maybe make a L’chaim with some food.
But the truth is that it is so much more.
Yisroel, The Torah, and Hashem are all one, as Chazal tell us. The Baal Shem Tov’s mission was to spread an experiential Yidishkeit, leading to the ultimate unification of these three premier elements of our world.
Bnei Yisroel and the Torah are expressions of Hashem in this world, but at their source they are all truly unified. A Farbrengen brings these elements together. The chevra represents Bnei Yisroel, gathering together to sing heilige songs and share the Torah which are both vehicles to be used to connect to Hashem.
In this way, a simple gathering is actually the ultimate elevation from the mundane world into the G-Dly realm.

Lachmei Mordechai Purim 2024 Distribution
Distribution of expensive food and presents for hundreds of family's of widows and orphans for purim for the cost of $400 a package
Irgun Lachmei Mordechai
Sends large packages of meat, fish, challos, cakes, candies, salads, disposable utensils and other staples every week and before every yomtov to more than 130 families who have lost their husband and father or wife and mother. In total, over 360 orphans in the city of Beit Shemesh benefit from these packages.
The homes of these children who have suffered such a terrible tragedy are illuminated by these packages and their broken hearts are filled with hope and joy. The cost of preparing these packages adds up to a huge amount every week.

Has established 5 branches across Eretz Yisroel – in Yerushalaim, Beit Shemesh, Tzefas and Bnei Brak – where thousands of dairy supplies – including yogurt, cheese and butter, as well as a number of other basic foodstuffs – are distributed at a subsidized rate to tens of thousands of needy families of bnei Torah and impoverished people every week. The cost of this operation equals tens of thousands of shekels every week.

Healing Begins Here, Sometimes You Need a Fresh Start
You gave me the strength that I never knew I had.
Depression, anxiety, and addiction are often direct responses to complex childhood traumas. They hinder the ability to live a truly peaceful and resilient lifestyle and frequently get in the way of relationships and functionality in society.
Paving the path for recovery, Fresh Start is the first step that hundreds of men and women in our community need. In the 7-day retreat, a clinical team of doctors, trauma experts, and world-renowned professionals carefully guide each person through their individual journey to recovery.
Fresh Start is unique because although it includes numerous external factors, the participants are encouraged to find healing within themselves, to re-parent and re-discover their hurt inner child. With separate retreats for men and women, the program aims to cut between 1-3 years of therapy. When done right, 7 days can feel like an entire lifetime.
Members describe the week-long program as eye-opening and life-transforming. In the words of a retreat participant from 2023, There are no words to describe this experience. I am overcome with emotion at how I’m leaving here a different person than when I came.
Fresh Start isn’t just a retreat, it’s a family. The care and assistance extends to more than just the 7 days of their flagship retreat program. Staff relationships remain as a supportive anchor, offering post-retreat webinars, referrals for alumni, and general trauma education.

B'ezrat Hashem Nenatseach - A. Goldwag & Zevi Kaufman
The title track of Ari Goldwag’s latest album, a duet with Zevi Kaufman, speaks of the secret weapon of our soldiers which is in our spiritual power, as represented by the power of tefillin, which so many soldiers are using in their battle, and our sages say causes the nations to fear us. Zevi brought this concept to Ari and it forms the core of the song.
Ari composed the intro section of the song ״讘注讝专转 讛׳ 谞谞爪讞״ at the request of the soldier Elisha Loewenstern 3 weeks into the war of 讞专讘讜转 讘专讝诇. He asked for a song which would help strengthen the soldiers in their 注讘讜讚转 讛׳ as it manifests in their battle in Gaza. 6 weeks later Elisha Hy'd fell in battle. We decided to connect this theme with the tefillin battle song, and to dedicate the song in Elisha’s memory. Elisha’s son Eitan Loewenstern features in the music video.
