Little Bardichevers | TYH Boys

We’re familiar with the idea that the rebuilding of the Beis Hamikdosh depends on Ahavas Chinam, which means baseless, unconditional love. This level of Ahavas Chinam requires us to completely shift our perspective. It means training ourselves and our families to look at the world with totally different eyes. While normally, we might scan a crowded room with some judgement, or hear an internal and critical voice towards those who we don’t connect with, instead, we can shift ourselves to be actively searching for the good in every single Yid we meet. This song, “Little Bardichevers”, is a call to action for a generation ready to uplift the way we see one another.

R’ Levi Yitzchok of Bardichev embodied this Ahavas Yisroel on a whole new level, and he personified it by going out of his way to see the good in other Yidden. But he taught us not to stop there. Stories of R’ Levi Yitzchak are full of examples of him not only seeing the good, but actually turning to Hashem and vocalizing the good that he was noticing.

Why is it so powerful to see the good, and then say the good out loud? Because when we mention a fellow Jew’s positive traits to Hashem, something miraculous happens in shomayim. The Tzaddikim teach us that this type of speech literally moves a person from the harsh side of judgement, to the side of merit, on the opposite side of the Heavenly courtroom! Our words down here can literally shift judgments up there.

Rebbe Nachman of Breslev famously teaches that every single person has a Nekudah Tova, a pure, incorruptible point of goodness (Likutei Morahan 282). This is a place inside every single soul that has zero ulterior motives, and just wants to connect purely with Hashem. Our job, when it comes to our fellow Yidden, is to find that point within each other. While adults may be weary, or see the world with preconceived notions, so much transformation for our nation’s approach to Ahavas Yisroel can come from our children. The “Little Bardichevers” who look at one another with temimus, a pure simplicity, and with beauty, kindness, and chein. They aren’t skeptical of ‘types’, ‘boxes’ and ‘community norms’, they just see Yidden as is - brothers and sisters. Through their pure, openhearted viewpoint, we can all merit a shift in perspective – one that can finally unlock the rebuilding of the Third Beis Hamikdosh, speedily and with Rachamim.

TYH Presents: Jungle | Mendy Worch | Feat. TYH Boys

Not too long ago I had an amazing experience. I was sitting near my Rebbe, Rabbi Yirmiyahu Katz, during the weekly Farbrengen that takes place in a quiet Shul in a corner of Borough Park. Lights dimmed, soft music plays in the background, and my Rebbe speaks. The scene looks like it was a page ripped out of an old storybook about the Baal Shem Tov in his early years.

Each week everyone comes home feeling like the Rebbe spoke to them specifically and addressed their very concern they had walking in. I guess my worried look must have given it away because my Rebbe began to speak.

“I know what you're thinking”, he said. “How can I change the craziness of the world? How can I stand by and watch the world get darker and darker every day? Everywhere I look, there are things that aren't ok!” “I want to tell you all, I had these thoughts too. These questions were on my mind many years ago, until one day my holy grandfather told me these wise words”. He warmly said "It's a jungle out there, and sometimes a jungle can be a very scary place."

But then he shared a secret so I would not have to worry. "You don’t need to fix the whole giant jungle at once," my grandfather explained. "If you just light up your own little corner, that light will start to spread. It will travel further and further until it fills the entire world."

That's when my Rebbe looked at us all and continued. “This is a massive secret that belongs to you, too. Every single person is an Olam Katan—a "miniature world." Think about that! Since a piece of the whole universe is tucked right inside your soul, the way you act matters everywhere. You are like a powerhouse of energy.”

The more you work on your avodas Hashem and fill your day with mitzvos, the more you let Hashem’s light glow through you. It’s not just a "win" for you. The brighter you shine from your own corner, the more light you give to every person on the planet.

Whenever things look dark or scary, we know exactly what to do. Shine Bright! Right where you are, use the light of the Torah to chase away the shadows. You have the power to turn the whole world into a place full of the Light of Hashem.

My Rebbe’s grandfather's message hit my heart and I turned it into music right away. I composed this song to share that light, and I’m so proud to partner with the amazing TYH Yidden on this wonderful journey of lighting up the Jungle!

Over the past few years כלל ישראל has been made aware of a fascinating phenomenon. Something that began small, but quickly picked up steam has spread to every corner of the world. This phenomenon is expressed in a three-word phrase heard many times during the day uttered by Yidden all over, young and old, the beautiful 3-word phrase known to all, "Thank You Hashem!" An expression of true הכרת הטוב to הקב"ה for so much goodness in our lives. Decals and bumper stickers, songs, recordings, and videos began appearing all over and my curiosity was peaked as I wondered, "Where and how did this beautiful phenomenon begin."

Associated with this expression were various delightful personalities all seemingly involved with the spread of this beautiful idea. Names like Mendy Worch, Mendy Portnoy, Brother Suchi, and the ever so talented Blumstein Brothers and many more came to light until I could no longer hold back and decided I must meet this holy Chevra!

A few months ago I joined with the Chevra for a Farbreng and after a lunch filled with Torah, Hashkafa and most of all, overflowing expressions of אהבת ישראל, we moved to the studio to work on bringing down and capturing what we all were feeling.

It is hard to describe the energy in the room but suffice it to say the whole place was pulsing with Simcha, excitement and pure Liebschaft from one Yid to another, and we have brought this energy and feeling out for you. Please get up, join us and dance along to this new song straight from the minds and hearts of the TYH Chevra (and hopefully their newest member)!

Hashem's Army | TYH Boys

An army is practical. They accomplish real, concrete things. For us, being part of Hashem’s army means doing mitzvos.

The Mishnah in Kiddushin teaches, “I was created only to serve my Master.” Like a soldier with a single minded focus, created for one purpose, to carry out the mission. At the end of Hilchos Melachim, the Rambam describes a soldier as completely focused on what’s in front of him. No distractions. His heart, head, and body fully given over to the task. Absolute dedication. We are proud that each of us can say, “I am a soldier in Hashem’s army.” And just like in a real army, every soldier matters. Each one is essential to the mission.

Soldiers don’t just talk about the mission. They are given something to do, and they go do it. It’s practical. It’s concrete. When we put on tefillin, give tzedakah, learn Torah, help another Yid, we are carrying out the mission we were created for.

We should not let a day go by without remembering: This is what I was created for. I am not just here because that's how history worked itself out. Hashem chose me, and gave me the opportunity and responsibility to be a great soldier and accomplish great things with my mitzvos.

Chazal teach that “Im bechukosai teilechu” means putting your whole heart into learning Torah. Ameilus is not just working hard. It is being so in love with Hashem that you never want to stop connecting to Him.

Think about something you enjoy so much that when you have to pause, you wish you could stay with it a little longer. That is what real Torah learning can feel like. When your neshama connects, Torah becomes sweet, energizing, and alive. You unlock the guarantee of Chazal that Yagata Umatzasa Taamin- When you toil in learning you can become a Talmud Chacham- and through that you bring incredible nachas to Hashem.

The joy in Torah is everything. Torah is what lights us up. Torah learning is what keeps us alive and connected to Hashem. As the Alter Rebbe, The Ba’al Hatanya teaches in Chapter 5 of Sefer Hatanya “וְהוּא יִחוּד נִפְלָא שֶׁאֵין יִחוּד כָּמוֹהוּ וְלֹא כְּעֶרְכּוֹ נִמְצָא כְּלָל בְּגַשְׁמִיּוּת, לִהְיוֹת לַאֲחָדִים וּמְיוּחָדִים מַמָּשׁ מִכָּל צַד וּפִנָּה. The connection created through Torah is a wondrous connection, like which there is none other and which has no parallel anywhere in the material world, whereby complete oneness and unity, from every side and angle, could be attained.”

Rav Tzaddok Hakohen of Lublin expands this even further.” וכשאין לו צוותא יעסוק בתורה שהוא דפוס מעשה בראשית ושל כל הנבראים כמו שאמרו בבראשית רבה פרשה א, ונמצא יש לו צוותא של “כל הבריאה וכל העולם כולו. Paraphrased: Not only is one’s connection to Hashem created through Torah, but it also connects him to all other Yidden and really to the entire world. Torah creates tzavsa-connection and companionship, which humans so deeply need. Since the Torah is the blueprint of the world and Hashem looked within it and then created the world, by connecting to the plans for the world you are in essence connecting to the entirety of creation.

So take some special time after hearing this song to learn Hashem’s Torah and to share the sweetness of Torah with another Yid. It will enhance your connection to other Yidden, and to the Creator of the world.

TYH Presents: Flying Carpet | Dadya - Afiko - Alex Clare

The holy Baba Sali Z’Ya was a light for all of Klal Yisroel. His devotion to each and every Yid is something that is still felt today, and we strive to connect to this Tzaddik through our own care, concern, and ahavas yisroel.

This song reaches back to the roots of his holy family, to Rabeinu Shmuel, the great grandfather of the Baba Sali and a massive tzaddik in his own right. When he needed to cross the sea for a mitzvah and was refused entry onto a ship because he had no money, he took out his simple rolled mat, a “chatzera,” sat on the shore and learned Torah. As the boat pulled away, he moved too, gliding calmly across the water on that mat like a floating carpet, still learning, still unshaken.

That miracle is what gave the family the name Abuchatzera, “father of the mat.” And that is why we sing about flying on the carpet with the holy Baba Sali, it is fun, but it is also real, a living reminder of the Torah, emunah, and love for every Yid that shines through this tzaddik and his lineage.

“Ner Hashem Nishmas Adam”
The soul of a person is the candle of Hashem.

The Talmud teaches that Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi, the compiler of the Mishna, instructed his family to keep a candle burning after his passing. He explained that such a light brings tremendous and elevated pleasure to the departed neshama. From this teaching, the custom developed to light a candle at the burial place of great tzaddikim and on their yahrtzeit.

Lighting this candle with intention also serves as a reminder. Just as a flame can be rekindled after it goes out, so too there will come a time during Techias Hamaysim when the souls of the righteous will shine once again with full brightness.

When we light a candle for a neshama, we join the small flame of our own soul to the great flame of the tzaddik’s eternal light. In this moment we connect the deepest part of ourselves to the Ohr Ein Sof, the Infinite Light of Hashem, which rests upon the tzaddikim and upon all of Klal Yisroel.

This song was inspired at the Ohel of the Lubavitcher Rebbe where many Yidden come and light candles before they daven to Hashem at this holy place.

Zchusom yogein aleinu.

May we merit the day when all darkness is illuminated by the light of Hashem’s candles, the holy neshamos of His people.

Avraham was the first to answer the call of Hashem with complete emunah, stepping into the unknown with a heart full of faith. Hashem promised him that those who bless him will be blessed, and that his life and mission would become a source of light for the entire world. This song celebrates that promise. It reminds us that when we connect ourselves to Avraham’s path of emunah and chessed, we tap into that same flow of blessing that Hashem placed in the world through him.

When we first heard this song by Yair Levy, we knew right away that we needed to bring its message forward in our own way. It carried something pure and powerful, something we wanted the world to feel. And who better to reveal that depth than the soulful and gifted Chaim Ghoori, whose voice brings the heart of the song to life.

Hashem created a world where each person can grow closer to Him at their own pace, with the freedom to choose Life and Truth. Hashem planted inside us a powerful pull toward what is right. That pintel yid, the essence of our Neshama, keeps drawing us back to the One who created us. It fills us with a deep longing to be real, to be true, to live a life of an Emesdigeh Yid. To live with Hashem’s truth, to make strong choices, and to fill our life with light, purpose, and goodness.

Being an Emesdigeh Yid is not about perfection. It means being honest about who we are and who we want to become. We know our hearts hold confusion and falsehoods that block our mission, so we daven Vtaher Libaynu Liovdicha B’Emes, asking Hashem to purify our hearts so we can serve Him in Truth. Chazal reveal that Chosomo Shel Hakadosh Boruch Hu “Emes”, Hashem’s signature is Truth, if we simplify and clarify our hearts we can tap into that pure energy of what it means to be an Emeseh Yid.

An Emeseh Yid sees past the noise of daily life and looks for the place where only Truth resonates. Living as an Emeseh Yid is more than simply always saying the truth. It means clearing our minds and hearts from anxiety, worry, stress, and the doubts we carry so we can focus on the real truth, the same truth we ask for every day when we say Vetaher Libenu Liovdicha B’Emes.

So we sing this song in a mantra style and repeat the words Emeseh Yid again and again as we chip away at the layers that block our vision and let the pure light of Emes shine into our hearts
