Thousands Attend Yahrzeit Of R' Elimelech Of Lizensk Zt’l

Chasidim from all over the world prayed at the grave of Tzadik Elimelech. Pilgrims arrived in Lezajsk to commemorate the 236th anniversary of the tzadik’s death. The main celebrations took place on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

Reb Elimelech of Leżajsk (according to some, Weissblum after his mother, and according to others, Lipmann after his father) was one of the three most famous tzaddikim of past Poland. He became famous as a healer of souls and bodies and as the most active preacher of Hasidism – a rebellious religious and mystical trend in Judaism.

Shabbos Medley - Yossi Green, Mott Vizel, Malchus Choir

Matana Tova! A string of Shabbat songs, a purity of the magical works for Shabbat by the great composer Yossi Green, is presented herewith Yossi himself, singing and playing the piano and presenting the songs together with Motty Vizel accompanied by a huge musical ensemble conducted by Maestro Benny Laufer and the Malchus Choir.

This happens at the annual dinner of the Yeshiva Gaon Ya'akov, founded by Maran HaGrail Steinman Zt'l, which took place this year in the 'Dimol Platinum' halls in a spectacular and magnificent production of Absolut Productions by Eli Schechter and Leivi Amzel.

Alongside the prepared tables and the best speakers, the audience was treated to a fascinating artistic program with the guest who came especially from New York - Yossi Green, who entertained the evening with his greatest songs of all time, with maestro Benny Laufer writing the arrangements and conducting the music.

At the climax of the evening, a special verse 'Matana Tova' was performed for the first time, which Pinchas Bichler recited from Yossi Green's best Shabbat songs, with Motty Vizel and the Malchus Choir completing the harmony.

Aron Gerstel - Mi She'asah Nissim - Single

Renowned chazzan and singer, Aron Gerstel, is excited to present this heartfelt and powerful rendition of Shlomo Carlebach's Mi She'asah Nissim.

This beautiful blend of Carlebach nusach and melody begins with a classic and unmistakable Shlomo nigun. A song simultaneously sweet and haunting, emanating from the very depths of Shlomo's incredibly complex, passionate, exalted and deep soul. The song tugs at the heartstrings and evokes emotion and yearning for Hashem in inimitable Carlebach fashion. Indeed, Shlomo seems to have been especially fond of this nigun as he attached it to various lyrics throughout his life (most famously Ani Maamin and Asisi Lechanenach). The song gives way to a hidden gem of Carlebach Chazzanus. Here, Aron showcases his masterful vocal range, power, control and dynamics, while staying true to Carlebach's distinct style and vibe. The song ends with another cantorial riff that Shlomo used at the end of Ani Maamin and culminates in a surprising finish. Listen for yourself!

Mordechai Klein - Ifrois Uleinu (Carlebach)

Mordechai Klein, a well known Carlebach-style Baal tefillah, is thrilled to release his rendition of “Ifrois Uleinu” based on the timeless compositions of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach.

The song is a heartfelt tribute to Carlebach's legacy, with Mordechai infusing his own style and interpretation to the classic melodies. As the piece unfolds, Mordechai's deep and soulful voice transports listeners to a place of profound emotion and introspection, conveying the depth and beauty of Carlebach's music.

For fans of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, this is a must-listen. It is a true testament to the enduring legacy of one of the greatest Jewish composer of all time.
