The Lubavitcher Rebbe on Second Chances

One year after leaving Egypt, the Jews were commanded to bring the Pesach offering – as they had done the year before.

Some Jews, unable to participate, were granted a second chance to bring an offering the following month. That day has become known as Pesach Sheni. The Rebbe placed much emphasis on the message of this special day.

Quoting his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe, the Rebbe would highlight its powerful reminder for all Jews everywhere: When it comes to making things right, "it's never too late."

Dispelling the Myths Surrounding the COVID Vaccine

There has been a lot of myths circulating about COVID vaccines. Dr. Shimshi Zimmerman, the Director of Chevra Hatzalah discusses some of the rumors as well as the science dispelling them. Baruch Hashem: As we move forward in the fight against COVID-19, we have a new lifeline that will help us save lives and return to a semblance of normalcy—the vaccine. The vaccine has been proven to drastically reduce the chance of getting COVID-19 and is even more protective against severe illness. It has the potential to save countless lives, prevent many people from experiencing complications from the virus and has proven to be safe.

This medical breakthrough finally allows us to anticipate a return to normalcy, and therefore, it is important to do your fact-checking before believing any rumors.

This vaccine is the ticket out of our current situation, but only if it is actually taken by members of our community. We all dream of a time where our comings and goings will not be restricted due to COVID regulations and now is our chance to make that a reality.

Visit www.cdc.gov for more information and resources.

This message is brought to you by Chevra Hatzalah.

Please speak to your primary care provider with any questions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. All listed COVID 19 vaccines have been approved under FDA EUA.

Shira Choir Goes Classical - Live in Studio

In honor of the 2021 Sefira season, Shira accepted its own challenge of recording the impossible: a vocals-only rendition of this rapid-fire, layered staccato tune that was made famous as an exercise by the world’s greatest woodwind instrumentalists.

Many vocalists can imitate a single bassline with their voice. But absolutely none other than Shira can manage this elaborate, fast-paced tune without a single instrument and without missing a beat.

And while most Sefira albums are recorded in separate tracks and stitched together in the studio post-production, Shira is fully capable of performing this exact rendition live.

This is Music Made Vocal™ at peak execution.
