A new music production in Crown Heights brings to life the beloved teacher Rabbi Shmarya Katzen OBM and the tunes he taught for the 12 Pesukim in honor of his first yartzeit on 22 Elul.
The 12 Pesukim and Maamarei Chazal are fundamentals in Yiddishkeit, which the Lubavitcher Rebbe taught for every child to learn and recite each day.

Netanyahu Meets President Trump at White House
President Donald Trump welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House Tuesday for the signing of a historic diplomatic deal between Israel and two Gulf Arab nations.
Before the signing ceremony, Trump and Netanyahu met briefly in the Oval Office, where Trump presented the Israeli leader with a ceremonial key to the White House.
"We call it a key to the White House and it's a key to our country and to our hearts," Trump said.
Netanyahu responded that Trump holds the "keys to the hearts of the people of Israel because of all the great things" he's accomplished for the Jewish state and the Jewish people.

Breslov Chasidim Stranded In Belarus
Some 1500 Breslov chasidim are stranded in Belarus near the Ukrainian border as they attempt to reach Uman for Rosh Hashana. The Ukrainians imposed a ban on tourists at the end of August but the chasidim still hope for some intervention which will allow them to enter the country.
In the meantime the chasidim are stuck in various border cities, with some of them even sleeping in parks and streets. Many of them have little access to kosher food and are subsisting mainly on fruits and vegetables. Many of them have not been able to shower or use running water for weeks.
Some of these pilgrims are in Brest, Pinsk and Radin which are adjacent to the Ukrainian border while others are in the Belarus capital, Minsk.

Hayom is the title track and the latest single to be released from singer/songwriter/guitarist Yitzy Kaplowitz’s upcoming debut album.
A number of years ago at a time when there were many tragedies happening in Eretz Yisrael I sat down at the piano and composed this song. It’s a heartfelt tefilah, a call for the RBS”O to bench us with shalom, true peace, the ultimate blessing.
The events that occurred this year prompted me to release this song now. In my lifetime I can’t think of a time where the world seemed to be more upside down. Our yeshivas, and our shuls were forced to close. Our lives were upended, jobs and incomes were gone, we lost gedolim, family and friends. Yet this was all decreed last Rosh Hashanah.
As I prepare to sit before the Melech Malchei Hamlachim this Rosh Hashanah, I know there is one thing that I need to plead for, shalom! We need Shalom, the true peace that we will only experience with the rebuilding of the Beis Hamikdash bmheirah byameinu.
I hope this song inspires you to do the same.
