Halailah Hazeh - Shmueli Ungar Ft. Hershy Weinberger

Four years ago, Hershy Weinberger, a new composer hit the scene. He started by sending a song to Naftali Schnitzler. Naftali and Hershey knew each other from years earlier and this connection started an incredible journey of music. ⁣

When Hershy met Shmueli Ungar for the first time, Naftali introduced him as the guy who "composed that song I sent you last year." ⁣It was a song that almost ended up on Shmueli Ungar's debut album. As we find ourselves in a world filled with questions. Shmueli approached Hershey and Naftali and reminded them of this song that had been sitting on the shelf for too long.⁣ Every thing in this world has it's time and place. Shmueli reminded them, the time for this song was now!⁣

We will be entering Pesach very soon, when after we fill the second cup of wine, we turn to the young child, and he asks us, "Ma Nishtana Halailah Hazeh?"  ⁣Shmueli Ungar sings in a powerful and mesmerizing duet with Hershy Weinberger. arranged by Naftali Schnitzler of A House of Music productions. We invite you to ask along with us, why? We can't always have the answers, but just as we ask why are we still on this long Golus, why must we endure this pain, and when will it be over?

Dovid Hill A”h - V’nafshi - Single

In 2012, our precious son Duvid z”l, passed away at the young of 14, after a long arduous battle with leukemia. He left this world with his gift of music; his 10 original compositions and his sweet melodic voice.

After working for so long to produce the cd, it is finally here. Just at the exact moment it was meant to be , as if it was divinely timed for this pandemic. For his song Nafshi is to give us words of comfort and solace, and his voice is entrancing.

Freedom – Aaron Holder [Moshe Yess Cover]

Aaron Holder and his unique voice are back. Putting his novelty style and artistic twist on this Moshe Yess classic with music arranged by Grammy award winning guitarist C Lanzbom, featuring top musicians from the New York area.

In the midst of these perilous times it's highly apropos that the song ‘Freedom’, written by Moshe Yess, is experiencing a rebirth through Aaron Holder's uplifting rendition. The energy and expression that Aaron is known for lends a contemporary sound in a message for all times: longing for Mashiach.

The world has been trembling. We've recently experienced earthquakes, fires and now a pandemic that brings uncertainty about the future. As we undergo days of chaos and darkness we also look toward the future.

As the holiday of Pesach is upon us, we await the Seder night where we will open the doors for Eliyahu Hanavi. We pray more than ever that on our threshold we'll find Freedom in the final redemption.

‘Freedom’ is a song that inspires hope. It encourages the listener to find redemption within and help break limitations both personally and globally. While many struggle to find light and inspiration in their current lives, we look ahead to days when Torah and connection will be our passion. We hope that Freedom ignites the spark of faith that burns steadily within us all as it has throughout the ages.

Walking to Shul With Tatty - Benzion Klatzko and Kids

Composed by Rabi Benzion Klatzko
Performed by Benzion Klatzko, Luzy Klatzko, Meyer Klatzko
Arranged by Yisroel Ament
Produced by Benzion Klatzko and Yisroel Ament
A Shabbat.com Production

Rabbi Klatzko composed this song to sing with his children each Friday night, as they skipped down the road on the way to shul.

With the Shuls and Yeshivos currently closed due to the Coronavirus, Rabbi Klatzko felt the need to release this nigun. Perhaps if we miss and yearn for the opportunity to daven b'tzibur, Hashem will once again heal the world and welcome us back into His sanctuary.

With tefilos for an end to this terrible kitrug! Please stay safe!

Sha'ka Chama - Shlomo Y Rechnitz & Moshe Mendlowitz

NEW VERSION OF THE OLD MOVING CLASSIC SONG SH'AKA CHAMA BY SHLOMO YEHUDA RECHNITZ & MOSHE MENDLOWITZ.

FROM DESPAIR TO OPTIMISM.
At a time when Klal Yisroel and the world at large are going through such difficult times, this song can capture our souls and uplift our spirits, while infusing us all with a renewed sense of emunah and bitachon.

In the year 1907 the poem, Shak'a Chamo, was written by the Rosh Hayeshiva of Bais Medrash L'rabanan in Berlin, Avrohom Eliyahu Kaplan OBM. He wrote it at the age of seventeen while learning in Slabodka. As a student of the famous Slabodka Yeshiva he internalized the teachings of Musar, as is evident from this poem, which contains a sense of depression and searching. It begins: "The sun has set... my soul has set / In the depth of its sorrow as great as the sea...".

More than a century later, Los Angeles businessman and philanthropist Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz composed an amazing addendum to the poem. An original high part with its own lyrics. While the tune of the addendum is clearly inspired by the original melody, the new lyrics written to the poetry,  take on a more encouraging and uplifting theme.

I Believe In Myself - Avrumy Straus - Chaim Gold

With the current situation we find ourselves in, Botei Medrashim/Knessios and Yeshivos/Schools closed, cut off from the world and lost, this is the exact time to try to bring some hope and positivity.

A while ago, singer/songwriter Chaim Gold and Avrumy Straus collaborated and created a special song titled אני מאמין בעצמי/ Ani Maamin B’atzmi. The voices of these two singers and the arrangement of the time is sure to reach deep down into the depths of your soul and try to comfort you.

The lyrics are from the holy Tzaddik Reb Tzudik Hakohen MeiLublin ZT”L. The lyrics talk about the fact that a person has a CHIYUV, an obligation, to believe in one’s self because he is a part of Hashem. Though times might be hard, we are Klal Yisroel, we are all parts of Hashem and we have to believe in Him and by that in ourselves. We will get through this. There is a reason for all this chaos. While we don’t understand this, we believe that Hashem has His reasons and it’s for our benefit.

May we all hear the footsteps of Moshiach and experience the ultimate geula bekarov.

Sponsor Kosher For Passover Cooked Meals

The in-house seders along with eight days of holiday meals at Masbia of Boro Park are cancelled due to the social distancing rules to prevent further outbreak. We did some quick strategic thinking and ordered thousands of ready to eat kosher for Passover airline meals at a discount, as they are not useful to the airlines right now.

While not serving in-house meals could have meant taking a vacation, we are actually anticipating to feed many more people than usual, due to the crisis. The general demand is up 500% in the last few weeks. This initiative is sponsored in part by the New York Board of Rabbis.
