Thousands in Procession of Returned Stolen Sifrei Torah
Thousands participated Wednesday evening in the emotional procession marking the return of the four sifrei Torah that were stolen last week from the Tiferes Shimon shul (Orchos Torah alumni) on Rechov Rabi Akiva in Bnei Brak.
The procession left from the house of the late Rosh Yeshivah, Hagaon Harav Aharon Leib Shteinman, zt”l, who was the Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivas Orchos Torah.
Many Rabbanim and Roshei Yeshivah also participated in the hachnasas sifrei Torah.
Border Police located the four sifrei Torah in a PA town in the Shomron Sunday, and they were later identified as the ones stolen from the shul on Bnei Brak’s Rabi Akiva Street last Monday night. The sifrei Torah were in good condition and showed no signs of desecration.
After extensive searches, police found the sifrei Torah in a sheep pen in Kafr Akraba in the Shomron. During the search they confiscated a hunting rifle, ammunition and explosives. A gag order has been placed on all other details of the case.
The perpetrators broke into the safe that contained the scrolls, stealing four sifrei Torah and leaving another sefer Torah as well as scrolls of the Nevi’im lying in disgrace on the floor.

Giant Octopus Attacks Scuba Diver
If you thought a giant octopus clutching you with its eight arms was the stuff of nightmares, think again.
A diver from Mayak Gamov, Russia, was exploring the Sea of Japan when the massive mollusk swam up to him and latched on. For a few harrowing seconds, the octopus started to swim toward the depths of the ocean. In the frightening footage, the octopus appears to use its sharp beak, hidden by its mouth, to bite him.
The diver eventually managed to break away from the creature unharmed and the octopus swam away.
Upon swimming away, the octopus changed its color in an effort to blend in with the sea floor.
Giant octopuses, which can grow up to 150 pounds, are normally shy around humans. However, there have been a few instances in which a giant cephalopod has wrestled with divers, including one incident in 2014 off the California coast.
The creatures are the most intelligent invertebrates on Earth. They generally live in chilly, coastal waters and have been spotted in areas such as California, Oregon, Washington, as well as Russia, Japan and along the Korean Peninsula.

From the age of zero we are taught the concept of Ahavat Chinam. Sruli Broncher and Netanel Yisrael decided to turn the phrase which is so embedded in our psyche into the hit song of the summer. In the song’s arrangement Sruli mixed a pop line with a feel of real rock, with tinges of Mediterranean elements from Netanel‘s voice.

Flight Attendant Sent Flying by Violent Turbulence
Violent turbulence aboard a flight from Pristina, Kosovo to EuroAirport ib Basel, Switzerland on June 16 was strong enough to throw a flight attendant and her trolley to the ceiling and send them crashing down on passengers, dramatic video taken on board shows.
Mirjeta Basha recorded this video aboard the ALK Airlines flight. She told the Swiss news site 20 Minuten she was convinced the plane was going to crash.
Describing the scene she recorded, Basha said, “A flight attendant slammed her trolley on the ceiling. Cups flew around, some were scalded by hot water.” Basha’s husband was among 10 people who were taken for hospital treatment on landing, the airport said.
