Backyard Carpool
Workers were repairing an Apex home Monday after the homeowner accidentally drove through the back of the garage and into a backyard swimming pool.
The unidentified woman was returning to her Fairview Road home Sunday and smashed her SUV through the wall, scattering debris across a deck and landing in an above-ground pool, police said.
She was alone in the vehicle at the time, and no injuries were reported. Police said they presume she hit the accelerator instead of the brake while pulling into the garage.

Gershon Veroba - Ani Yisrael - Music Video
It’s been nearly a decade since performer/composer/producer Gershon Veroba recorded a solo album of original songs. Now, with the release of "Ani Yisrael" even long-time fans are pleasantly surprised. “I have never heard this side of him,” one fan commented. “It’s so refreshing and unexpected, yet it makes sense...only he could’ve done this.”
As he looked at the Jewish musical landscape for 2017, Gershon knew the rules had changed. He had to release major music videos from the new album, including the title track, "Ani Yisrael,” which he knew had to be filmed in Israel.
“The message is quite simple,” GV says. “Israel is part of us. It’s ultimately where we’re from and where we live, no matter what our backgrounds have been or where our houses are." With this solid message in mind, Gershon teamed up with hit video producers Aaron and David Orian of Olam Media. After over 6 months collaborating, recording & filming in Israel, often in locations as hot as 105ºF, he says “we created a fun, exciting video everyone will enjoy, and we had a blast shooting it.”
Gershon’s children live the message as well, joining the video crew. His daughter Ali is a make-up artist in Jerusalem, while his son Abie, a high school junior on summer tour, shot many of the on-location photos used for the album cover.
The "Ani Yisrael” album, a production of Town 6 Entertainment Corp., features 10 amazing new songs written by Ari Goldwag, Elie Schwab, Simcha Kranczer and Gershon himself. It is now available in major digital outlets around the world and online.

Gad Elbaz feat. Nissim - L'chaim
An unplanned trip to an antique store catapults Israeli singing sensation Gad Elbaz back through the generations to a 19th century Ukrainian shtetl, a simpler time and place where, despite the lack of modern conveniences, happiness was all around for the taking.
L’chaim, a Sparks Next production by filmmaker Daniel Finkelman, is a joyous expression in contrasts, as energy and nostalgia, klezmer and hip hop and past and present come together in an exuberant celebration of life. Elbaz finds himself warmly welcomed by villagers and their rabbi, rapper Nissim Black, and together they capture the euphoria of days gone by, where all you needed to be happy was a big smile and a hearty glass of spirits on which to make a heartfelt L’chaim.
In a world where we find ourselves overscheduled and overburdened by gadgets designed to make our lives easier, L’chaim captures the purity of days gone by and our deep longing for the most elusive goal of all, true happiness.
L’chaim is the featured song of Gad’s brand new album also titled “L’chaim”

Deadly Attack as Truck Rams Into Soldiers in Jerusalem
Four people were killed and 13 were wounded in Jerusalem on Sunday when a truck rammed into pedestrians near the Armon Hanatziv Promenade.
According to the police, the truck veered from its course along the promenade and rammed into a group of people getting off a bus.
Police chief Roni Alsheich described the truck-ramming as a terror attack. The assailant, a resident of East Jerusalem, was shot and killed, the police chief said, adding that there was no advance warning for the attack.
"You don't need more than two to three seconds to find a terrorist target. The soldiers at the scene reacted immediately and killed the attacker," the police commissioner said.
People were initially trapped under the truck. Among the deceased are three women and a man, all in their 20s. Among the wounded, three are in serious condition, one is moderate to serious condition, and nine are lightly hurt.
