The spies' psychology ● Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburg - The sages reveal that the problems leading to the spies' disloyalty to Moshe can be found in their names. But, just as their names reveal the psychological qualities that led to disloyalty, these same qualities can be used to rectify and solidify our own commitment to Moshe.

Palestinian Stabs Israeli Teen in her Own Bedroom

A Palestinian terrorist fatally stabbed a 13-year-old Israeli girl in her bedroom in a settlement in the West Bank on Thursday, the military said,

Israeli guards in the settlement of Kiryat Arba shot the attacker dead and one member of the civilian armed response team was wounded, a military spokesman and a settler leader said.

The assailant was identified as a 19-year-old male from a nearby Palestinian village. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his home would be destroyed and permits enabling his relatives to work in Israel revoked.

Netanyahu, in a statement, called on Palestinian leaders to condemn the attack and take immediate steps to stop what he described as incitement that Israel has cited as a main factor behind a string of assaults over the last nine months.

Malachi Levinger, chairman of Kiryat Arba's governing council, said the assailant climbed a security fence and entered a home where he attacked Hallel Yaffa Ariel, 13. Photos released by the military showed blood on the bed and floor in her room.

Since October, Palestinians have killed 33 Israelis and two visiting U.S. citizens in a wave of street attacks, mostly stabbings. Israeli forces have shot dead at least 198 Palestinians, 134 of whom Israel has said were assailants. Others were killed in clashes and protests.

Car That Can Park Anywhere

Parking just got a whole lot easier.

An impressive video showcases an amazing set of wheels that enables all vehicles to move in all directions and to rotate on the spot 360 degrees.

English Inventor Matthew Liddiard can be seeing trying out the tyres on his Toyota Echo - and soon we'll all be after some.

The car moves almost mesmerisingly from side to side as well as on the spot with an effortless elegance. The tyres roll perpendicular to the vehicle's body instead of parallel as the car appears to almost glide. The Londoner stresses that these omni-capable wheels are a world first bolt-on application which are very easy to use and require no modifications.

He adds that they're designed to be used in all weather and road conditions. 'They are stronger, faster, and more accurately controlled than prior art. They can take a beating,' he said.

Appropriately called Liddiard wheels, they are powered by 24,000 pounds of torque applied directly to the wheels which gives them incredible precision.

Speed can also be adjusted be changing up the gearing ratios and with a speed controller.

Liddiard hopes to soon sell the invention to a large company like Goodyear or Honda.

Who Let the Goats Out

From the Up loader: As part of our vegetation management plan, each summer Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California hires a local company to help cut back the height of grass and brush on the hillside terrain around our buildings. Grazing goats are utilized to consume the tall grasses, broom and weeds that might otherwise, in the event of a wildland fire, spread flames up into the treasured stands of trees on our acreage. The goats nimbly swarm over steep hillsides, voraciously eating their way through about 100 acres of open space on the lab campus, removing a potential fuel load as they go.

The visiting animals are managed by a full time herder who lives on site for the entire duration of the animal's visit and carefully limits the extent of the grazing. With the help of his amazingly skilled dogs, the herder moves the 800 goats from one hillside to the next. The video clip filmed this week shows the goats crossing our entrance road as they were on their way to a new grazing area. After five or six weeks, they complete the circuit of all our perimeter open spaces, and depart, moving on to their next customer.

Your Chance to Win a Tesla, Jet Membership or 50K!

The summer months are particularly expensive for any Jewish family. Aside from the Yomim Tovim preceding and following the summer, this season entails camps, new wardrobes, entertainment, and missed days of work to tend to our (bored) kids. So for the average family, well...let’s just say the majority of us are not out shopping for luxury cars, yachts, or jets at this juncture.

Having a budget can't stop you from dreaming! This year, as you’re soaking up the sun, you can forget about your diminishing wallet and think about flying on a private jet! You will have the chance to live your dream, while simultaneously helping to provide financial stability and dignity to thousands of Jews who cannot afford even the basic of necessities.

The Chicago Chesed Fund, founded in 1987, services Metropolitan Chicago with more than 40 programs and services with the singular goal of providing personalized, immediate assistance to over 4,000 struggling individuals. Within their 44,000 square foot warehouse, they offer a wide array of programs and services, aimed at battling hunger, preventing eviction and homelessness, and providing needy families with basics such as furniture and clothing. Their flagship program is the food pantry, which has helped them become one of the largest food distribution centers in northern Cook County. Under the direction of HaDayan Rabbi Shmuel Fuerst, the Chicago Chesed Fund continues to assist hundreds of Jewish families every year.

While the organization’s original annual budget was $100,000, the amount of families in need of immediate help has risen dramatically. 29 years later, the budget is at over $5 million! They desperately need our help!

Furious Rhino Charges Full Speed at Car Filming

This rhino really didn't want his picture taken.

Incredible footage from a safari park shows a rhino charging at full-speed towards cameramen in a parked car - and it doesn't look happy.

The video, taken by visitors in Kruger National Park, shows the horned animal staring at the vehicle from a short distance as two people eagerly film its actions out of an open window.

Kruger National Park, in northeastern South Africa, is one of Africa’s largest game reserves.

It's home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals.
