Hero Pulls Man From Fiery Car Crash
Incredible video captured a hero saving a man yesterday from a fiery street-racing crash in Riverside. CA
Santiago Portillo, an eyewitness, grabbed his cell phone and began recording. But when Portillo saw that a man was injured inside the burning car, he jumped into action. He set his phone down with it still recording and he reached into the smoldering car and pulled the man to safety.
Firefighters and paramedics were soon on the scene, and the car was engulfed in flames. The driver suffered a severe laceration to his head and his leg was also injured, officials said.
Riverside police were looking for a second driver involved in the street race, who they said sped away from the crash scene. Authorities called Portillo a hero for his fast action that saved a life.

A CSX WB mixed freight heads toward the station that has some folks waiting for the Capitol Limited to Chicago from Wash. DC.. I swing the camera around and OMG, he can't see or hear the EB coal drag bearing down on him. Too much noise to yell, I frantically wave left arm back & forth and jab point with right arm at the oncoming train. Wow--!!!!So Very Very Close!!!!

Window Washers Clean the Grand Canyon
Brave window cleaners dangle thousands of feet above the Grand Canyon - while giving its 'Skywalk' a spring clean.
Technicians cleaned more than 40 panes of glass while taking in the awe-inspiring views of the Colorado River 4000ft below.
The horseshoe-shaped structure, which cost $30M to build and juts out 70ft, was opened in March 2007 and offers visitors stomach-churning views through its glass bottom.
The Skywalk is cleaned by Abseilon USA, a Phoenix-based company who belong to the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians.
Abseilon's eight technicians - two of whom carried out the cleaning itself - operate a two-line system, which offers workers '200 per cent fall protection'. This system means despite the stomach-churning images and video that the technicians were able to capture, the process itself is extremely safe.
Should an error occur in any part of a technician's rope system, they still have at least one additional system to fall back on.

A street performer in Zaragoza, Spain dazzles a crowd as plays the drums and juggles at the same time.
Never missing a beat, the unnamed performer plays the drum perfectly as he throws the drumsticks that he is also juggling.
He then catches the drumstick as it bounces back to him and resumes the juggle, all the while using a foot pedal to play the bass drum.

This "haunting melody", is attributed to Reb Azriel David Fastag, a Modzitzer Hasid whose compositions were regularly sung in the court of the Modzitzer Rebbe, Rabbi Shaul Yedidya Elazar. He reportedly composed the tune in a cattle car while being taken to Treblinka. Fastag announced that he would give half of his share of the World to Come to whoever would bring the tune to the Modzitzer Rebbe, who had escaped Europe in 1940. Two men took him up on his offer and leaped from the moving train. One died from the fall, but the other survived and eventually brought the tune to the Rebbe's son in Israel, who sent his father the musical score. Click Here for full article.

11-Year-Old Arrested For Setting Fire To CH School Bus
An 11-year-old boy faces arson and criminal mischief charges after setting fire to a school bus in Brooklyn, police said.
The incident took place around 6 p.m. Sunday night at Brooklyn Avenue and New York Avenue in Crown Heights. A number of teens were on the bus at the time the fire was set, but they were able to escape unharmed, police said.
Police are looking for a handful of other 11 to 14-year-olds in connection with the incident.

Watch a Humpback Whale Surface Right in Front of You
Like a dramatic scene from a Hollywood thriller, a humpback whale suddenly emerged from the water just feet from boats, docks, and onlookers in southeastern Alaska, its giant mouth gaping.
Fisherman Cy Williams recorded the scene at Knudson Cove Marina in Ketchikan, Alaska, on May 2. He tried to follow the path of the big animal under his boat, noting the bubbles rising to the surface. “It was breathtaking," Williams told video licensing service Caters TV. "I genuinely thought it was going to hit the boat or the dock as it was so big." The witness estimates the humpback's size at between 40 and 50 feet.
The whale can be seen so clearly that barnacles are visible on its massive chin. "It's surprising to see the animal so close to the docks," says Leigh Torres, a marine ecologist and National Geographic explorer who is also a professor at Oregon State University.
"But humpback whale populations are really expanding, so maybe they are looking for new areas to find prey, or trying to avoid competition from other whales," Torres says.
Humpbacks (Megaptera novaeangliae) are large baleen whales that range in length from 39 to 52 feet (12 to 16 meters) and weigh up to 79,000 pounds (36,000 kilograms). With their distinctive, curved body shape and habit of frequently breaching above the water, they are among the whales best known by the public and are frequently the target of watching tours.

Bee Manages To Pull A Nail Out Of A Brick Wall
This footage captured the amazing moment a small bee manages to pull a nail out of a brick wall.
In an incredible show of strength the little guy works hard, almost giving up twice, to remove the metal pin from the hiding space.
Filmed in the UK the mason bee can be seen in the clip buzzing around the nail.
The man recording the action can be heard saying: "Look at that. Pull it out honey bee. You can do it."
The bee seems to climb up the nail and almost gives up before coming back for a second attempt.
After his third attempt, the commentator happily cheers: "Good lad."
The bee was not a honey bee but a mason bee. Masons are solitary creatures and unlike honey bees do not form colonies. They get their name from their use of mud in building their nets. The males die soon after mating, but the females build nests, collect pollen and lay eggs.
