Rabbi Delivers Coffee to Power Workers
"You work hard, you wanna be appreciated," Rabbi Hahn said as he drove to find linemen on south hill. in Spokane, WA All week, he has been delivering hot coffee to the workers, who say they have been working 16 hour shifts to restore power to the Inland Northwest.
The Rabbi lost power himself, but chose to help others instead of dwelling on his own situation.
"What else am I gonna do, sit at home be miserable? No! Go out and help people!"
The workers came from all over America to help get power to Spokane, but everywhere we went, it was the same story. Linemen working day and night. But through the cold, a little warmth, offered by the rabbi.
Rabbi Hahn is calling on people of all faiths to help out in the wake of the devastating storm, and says in a time of crisis the community needs to come together.

Jewish Man Robbed in North Miami
A Jewish man from Kiryas Joel walking with thousands of dollars worth of diamonds in North Miami was roughed up and robbed. He spoke exclusively to 7News about the attack.
The rabbi, who is also a jeweler, traveled to South Florida on business, but that's when he was beaten with a pistol and robbed by several people behind a pawn shop Tuesday afternoon.
Victim Rabbi Chaim Parnas said the men who ambushed him tried to rip off his vest for the jewels. "They were ripping, they were ripping this," he said. "[They said] 'Get the vest, get the vest.'"
Parnas said he had the jewels in his pocket and they reached for it. He was beaten and battered in the process. "They took it out," he said. "I went through the back, I went out of the car. Three guys jumped out. One got me with a pistol, knock in the head."
The rabbi is a diamond dealer from New York doing business in Aventura at a jewelry store. He stopped by a pawn shop in North Miami to buy diamonds.
Despite the circumstances, Parnas said that he feels lucky. "I'm alive. I'm healthy. I have my wife, my kids," he said. "Sure God was with me that they didn't shoot me."

A Special Wedding
In December of 1928, on the 14th of Kislev, the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s marriage to Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, daughter of the then Lubavitcher Rebbe Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, was held in Warsaw, Poland.
In this clip, Rabbi Yisroel Gordon recounts some of the memories which he heard from his father about the grand wedding.
Due to the stature of the Chosson, Kalah, and their families, the actual wedding celebration was a very large affair with many dignitaries, great Rabbis and Torah scholars in attendance. One thing however, which stood out, was the greatness and piety of the Chosson himself.
Of course, he would later succeed his father-in-law as Rebbe and lead - and inspire the Jewish people - with true dedication and love.

Historic Landing of Fully Reusable Rocket
Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos said his private spaceflight company Blue Origin has successfully launched a rocket and landed it back on Earth -- a feat that could help make space travel more affordable for the masses.
Launching from Texas on Monday, Bezos' New Shepard crew capsule and propulsion module blasted into space with no passengers on board. After reaching its planned test altitude of 329,839 feet, the vessel returned to Earth, landing upright just four and a half feet from its launch pad, according to Blue Origin.
While this week's achievement is being celebrated, Bezos said his company plans to fly the vehicle "many, many times and then when we're completely confident in it, we're going to start using it to take people into space."
Bezos said additional testing should "take another couple of years." When Blue Origin is ready for passengers, Bezos said he wants to travel to space and fulfill a boyhood dream.

Smokestack Falls on Track Hoe - Driver Survives
One man is lucky to be alive after an iconic smokestack in Pell City, Alabama finally came down. One man was buried under bricks in his excavator after a smokestack collapsed during an implosion.
Tuesday morning, there was plenty of excitement to see the Avondale Mills landmark come down. Pell City residents young and old came out to witness the rare demolition.
The smoke stack didn’t go easily. After two attempts to demolish it with explosives. Tim Phifer did some risky digging to finally get the landmark down–but it came at a near deathly cost. One angle via drone video from Sky Bama shows the breathtaking moment. Tim said as things quickly got dark, he was thinking: “stay in the hole, that cab was made for that thing turn over on top of it, I was safer inside the cab then coming out of it.

Yisroel Adler and The Malchus Choir Sing the new song "Ribon Haolamim" Composed by Pinchos Breier and First Recorded by Avraham Fried. Music by Yanky Rubin. At a Recent Fundraising Dinner for Mosdos Shevet Halevi in Israel
This beautiful prayer was written by R' Mayer'l of Apt ZT"l.
A powerful statement of pure faith: No matter how much time and effort I invest in whatever I do, without the help of Hashem there's no chance for any success.
"רבון העולמים ידעתי,
כי הנני בידך לבד כחומר ביד היוצר.
ואם גם אתאמץ בעצות ותחבולות
וכל יושבי תבל יעמדו למיני להושיעני ולסמוך נפשי,
מבלעדי עוזך ועזרתך
אין עזרה וישועה".

Moment of Silence for Ezra Schwartz on MNF
The New England Patriots held a moment of silence in honor of slain American yeshiva student Ezra Schwartz prior to their Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills. The crowd at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts stayed rapt as the announcer paid tribute to Schwartz along with American military service members.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft stood at attention on the chilly night, a day after Schwartz was laid to rest in his hometown of Sharon, a suburb of Boston.
Schwartz, 18, a resident of suburban Boston, was killed Thursday in a Palestinian terror attack in the West Bank.
He was mourned by thousands in the United States and Israel, and was buried Sunday in his hometown of Sharon, Massachusetts.
Robert Kraft, a Jewish philanthropist, owns the Patriots, the defending Super Bowl champions.

Incredible World Record Slack Line
If you're afraid of heights then you should look away now.
French daredevil Théo Sanson has set what could be a new world record after walking 1,617 feet between two 400 feet high rock formations in Utah, USA, on a slackline. The professional slackliner's incredible feat was captured in a stunning video that showed just how far the adventurer had to walk.
Video shows the 29-year-old making the difficult journey between two popular climbing spots, The Rectory and Castleton Tower, in Castle Valley, Utah. on November 15 2015.
Trailed only by his harness, and with no safety net, Sanson wobbled his way across the two formations. At one point in the video, it appeared as if though the daredevil was suspended in mid-air.
The feat looked all the more impressive because the rock formations had an elevation of more than 6,500 feet and were protrusions from the terrain beneath them. A team of 15 was needed to successfully complete the stunt. As well as capturing the journey, the team also had a difficult time of staging the slackline.
The challenge comes from the near-vertical face of the formations, which means that experience climbers would be needed to scale to the top of the two locations to set up the slackline.

Teenage Palestinian Girls Shot after Stabbing Elderly Man
Jerusalem - Two Palestinian teenage girls stabbed a 70-year-old Palestinian man with scissors outside a central Jerusalem market on Monday before they were shot by police — in a fresh burst of violence ahead of the arrival of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
Police said one of the attackers was killed, while the second was wounded. The man, apparently mistaken for an Israeli, suffered wounds to his head and back, while a 27-year-old bystander was lightly wounded, apparently from bullet shrapnel, police said.
The attack was the latest in a two-month spate of Israeli-Palestinian violence that erupted in Jerusalem in mid-September and quickly spread across Israel and into the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Kerry is expected to meet with Israeli and Palestinian leaders on Tuesday to help ease tensions, in what is to be his first visit to the area in a year.
The incident occurred near Mahane Yehuda, a popular outdoor market in downtown Jerusalem. It caused a panicked scene in the busy area.
Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said in a statement the police officer ordered the girls to halt their attack, and shot them when they came toward him.

Bridge Being Demolished and Rebuilt in Just 36 Hours
Chinese construction workers have put their Australian counterparts to shame after demolishing and then rebuilding a Beijing bridge in just 36 hours.
Timelapse footage shows the demolition and reconstruction of the 1,300-tonne Sanyuan bridge sped up into a one-minute video. Due to heavy daily use of about 200,000 vehicles, support beams had begun to drop and had to be replaced.
The bridge was closed to drivers at 11pm on Friday November 13 and reopened just 43 hours later at 6pm on Sunday, November 15.
However, the plan did not go off without a hitch.
Engineers had initially scheduled 24 hours for the rebuild, but after removing the beams and discovering the damage was more severe than initially anticipated, it was altered to 36 hours. With the aid of two kilotonne mechanical pulleys, the new pre-built beams were then slid into place. Once the beams were in place, the road was repaved and reopened. The Sanyuan Bridge was opened in 1984 and is a key part of Beijing's road infrastructure.
This is the first time Chinese engineers have utilised this kind of "integrated replacement method".
According to Shanghaiist, had traditional construction methods been utilised, the bridge would have been closed to commuters for at least two months.
