Koshering The White House Kitchen for Chanukkah
White House: Watch the kitchen at the White House undergo a transformation into a kosher kitchen. This entails wrapping existing kitchen surfaces and a complete separation of milk and meat, as well as the use of kosher ingredients and utensils that have only been used for kosher. This allows the kitchen to prepare and serve a completely kosher meal for this year's Hanukkah celebration at the White House. Local Rabbi's were also on hand to oversee the koshering.

Israel Police anti-terror commandos raided an apartment building in Ashkelon on Wednesday, rescuing a four-year-old girl who was being held by her uncle who had barricaded himself in the house.
Around 3pm police received a call that a local man had taken his niece and barricaded himself inside of her parents house After around two hours of negotiations failed, officers sent in police from the YAMAM anti-terror unit, who raided the apartment, freeing the girl and taking the man into custody.
Police said the man was mentally disturbed and that he did not threaten the girl and that they believe that her life was not in danger.

Supreme Court Hears Rabbi’s Frequent Flier Case
The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in the case of a Minnesota rabbi who claimed he was cut from an airline’s frequent flier program for earning too many miles.
Oral arguments in the case of Rabbi Binyomin Ginsberg were heard on Tuesday December 3 2013. Ginsberg was one of Northwest Airlines’ top fliers when he was cut from its program in 2008. Northwest has since been absorbed by Delta.
The rabbi, who acquired his frequent flier miles by consulting with educational organizations, says the airline was targeting top miles earners. Northwest counters that Ginsberg complained too frequently — 24 times in a seven-month period. The case hinges on whether federal regulatory discretion extends to routine lawsuits such as this one.
Ginsberg says Northwest’s actions were a breach of contract. Lawyers for the airline, backed by the Obama administration, say handing Ginsberg a victory could open the door to chaotic state-to-state differences on what is and is not litigable.

Talented Jewish and Arab musicians joined forces on one stage in the ancient city of Tzfas to honor the memory of the American journalist and musician Daniel Pearl and the U.S. President John F. Kennedy who lost their lives because they believed in liberty, democracy, freedom of speech and faith.
Hundreds of Jewish and Arab high school students from the Northern region of Israel, as well as residents of Tzfas of all ages and backgrounds, enjoyed the harmonious combination of western jazz with classic Arab music, celebrating cultural diversity, tolerance and co-existence.

Williamsburg Chasidic Man Is Latest Victim Of Knockout
New York city police are probing if a Hasidic man from Williamsburg is the latest victim of the “Knockout Game” phenomenon after he reported being randomly targeted and punched while walking on a Williamsburg street Sunday night.
26 year-old Eli Leidner said he was punched by both a man and a woman at 10:20 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Taylor Street. Leidner said he was not seriously hurt, but a relative added that he believed Leidner was targeted because he is Jewish. Sunday night’s punch-out brings to a total of 10, the number of attacks that have recently taken place in the city, with the majority of the victims being Jewish.
Police have not rushed to call this incident to be part of the knockout games, but labeled it so far assault and possible a hate crime. no arrests have been made.
