For those who don't yet know, earlier in the day prior to the concert, MBD was not feeling well with a terrible cold. When they went to the Lubavitcher Rebbe for the Sunday dollars, the Rebbe gave him a Bracha and said something to the effect of that the warmth the Yiddishkeit will prevail!

The Lubavitcher rebbe is indeed the greatest 'tsadik' of our generation and a great profit.

I would rather hear that he used his power to heal all the terminally sick than to have a guy heal so he can perform at a concert!

Mordechai Ben David is often imitated but NEVER duplicated.

MBD is in a league of his own.

The range. The voice. The sweetness. The hartz.

Wow!!!

Thanks gruntig.

@ anonymous from june 29th 2014 im not being nasty but this mbd from 20 plus years ago is NOTHING like the mbd from today.

about 10 years ago (and this is nothing to do with being older, nobody excpect him to sound like he was 30 today), but about 10 years ago he changed his singing style totally, gone was the lines roar that he still kept throughout the late 90s and till about 2003, and he replaced it with a casual toned down singing sound, like a heimishe zaide would at a melavah malkah

all very nice.. but very sad when you watch these classics or even like 1999 2000 when mbd is roaring the gates of shomayim open with his voice, and just a matter of years later, that voice.. gone :( very very sad
