A Jewish Star's Season 2 is Launched

ColLive.com - An all new Season Two of "A Jewish Star" – the world’s first Jewish music singing competition - was launched today, November 25, 2010 with many seeing the contest as the next obvious step in the recent evolution of the Jewish music industry.

The winner of season 1 which attracted over 50 auditions and 61,893 votes online was Binyamin Moshe. Moshe is a Brooklyn yeshiva student, who recently had his self-composed single "Romemu" recorded and produced by producer Ruli Ezrachi and with music by the Freilach Orchestra.

Season Two brings a parallel "A Jewish Star Juniors" which will be added to the contest for boys ages 8 - 14. The deadline for auditions is Dec 21, 2010. Finalists will perform February 20th in New York. For complete rules, more information or to audition, go to www.AJewishStar.com.

Joining judges Avraham Fried and Mendy Pellin will be Eli Gerstner, singer, songwriter and producer of the Yeshiva Boys Choir, The Chevra, Menucha, Dovid Stein, Tek-noy, and the Yosis Orchestra.
