Williamsburg Shomrim: Stolen Vehicle Recovered, Driver Arrested

At approximately 5:00 AM, WSPU Shomrim received a report of two individuals attempting to pull door handles on parked vehicles. Upon reviewing surveillance footage, members observed that the individuals had successfully stolen a vehicle and fled the scene.

After retrieving the footage, the team was able to obtain the license plate number and confirm that the stolen vehicle had exited the area. Shomrim members quickly mobilized and began an extensive canvass in an effort to locate the vehicle.

After more than an hour of coordinated searching, one member spotted the stolen vehicle outside of Williamsburg and immediately notified the rest of the team. Members maintained continuous communication with the NYPD 90th Precinct, providing real-time updates on the vehicle’s location.

Working together with responding NYPD officers, the stolen vehicle was successfully recovered, and the suspect was taken into custody. WSPU Shomrim members continued assisting throughout the incident and coordinated closely with law enforcement.
