On Sunday evening, more than 4,500 shluchos will be joined by family, friends, and supporters from around the world for the gala banquet of the Kinus Hashluchos, the capstone event of the annual International Conference of Shluchos.
The banquet, one of the largest kosher dinners in the world, brings together Chabad representatives from over 100 countries alongside communal leaders and dedicated supporters for an evening of celebration, reflection, and renewed commitment to the global mission of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
"These women have built Jewish life in places where it once seemed impossible," said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302 and Director of the Kinus. "The banquet is a celebration of their resilience, their sacrifice, and the communities they've transformed."
The evening's featured speaker is Mrs. Anat Harari, a shlucha in Eliav, Israel. Harari came to shlichus from a very different world; she was a secular Israeli, a lawyer, politically active, and even opposed to Chabad. When her husband, Yechiel, was asked to write a book on the Tanya, everything changed. At the banquet, she will share how Torah and Chassidus transformed her life and the path that led her to become a shlucha herself.
The pre-show program will be hosted by Sivan Rahav-Meir, one of Israel's most recognized journalists and media personalities. Named by Globes as the most popular female media figure in Israel and by the Jerusalem Post as one of the 50 most influential Jews in the world.
The banquet will also feature three young women from Sydney, Australia, including Priva Schlanger, daughter of Rabbi Eli Schlanger HY"D, and Mina Levitan, daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Levitan HY"D, both of whom were murdered in the Bondi Beach terror attack on Chanukah. Also appearing is Chaya Dadon, 14, who was shot while shielding two young children during the attack.
For those watching from home, the banquet offers a window into the global reach and daily impact of Chabad's work. The evening will include stories from the field, moments of celebration, and a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs shluchos face around the world.
The gala banquet takes place Sunday, February 8, at the New Jersey Conference and Expo Center in Edison, New Jersey. The pre-program begins at 4:00 PM, with the main program beginning at 5:00 PM.
