IDF Soldiers Families Struggle With Basics Nationwide

SHOCKING : IDF Soldiers Families Struggle With Basics Nationwide

Women of Valor, Who Can Find Them?

Their husbands r"l fell in battle in battle defending Israel. Now they struggle with basic needs for their children. How will they survive without? _We know who they are. We know where they are. We know what they need._

Can we leave them alone with their children to fend for themselves?

An official campaign has been launched to support the families of our brave soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect what is most precious to us all. We have boots on the ground working with the utmost sensitivity by the families side. We research what is lacking, aquire and distribute what basics are needed most, and even procure special items that each family specifically requests based upon their unique situations. For some that is a bar or bas mitzvah celebration, for others it is a fan or air conditioner, a handyman to fix up a broken door or a leak, provide missing household items, or even a musical instrument for that special child.

Your donation today assures that these Women of Valor can lead a house with some normalcy and stability, without the scourge of poverty and debt troubling their already heavy hearts hearts. Your help will ensure their children get any additional help they need, learn healthy hobbies from after school programs (chugim), and can keep their heads high. Perhaps most importantly, your participation will let these almanos, mothers of new yesomim know they are not forgotten, they are not alone, and that they are duly acknowledged as the true Women of Valor they are.

It's what their husbands HYD would have wanted most.

Let us join together, as Am Yisroel, the _Am Kadosh_ . We must not let these families collapse. They gave everything.

Please donate generously.

LIVE: A Voice of Weeping and Hope - Kibbutz Sufa

In the heart of the wounded Gaza envelope, Kibbutz Sufa will host a moving and extraordinary event on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. At 6:00 PM, as the sun begins to set, the kibbutz residents will gather in the local synagogue for an emotional journey between past and present, between pain and hope.

On Tisha B'Av, the national day of mourning, community members will read the Book of Lamentations. But this year, the reading will take on a deeper and more personal meaning than ever before. Alongside the ancient verses of lamentation, the voices of the Gaza envelope residents will be heard, telling their personal stories from the terrible tragedy of Simchat Torah, October 7, 2023.

Rabbis, artists, soldiers, and kibbutz members will unite to weave together a touching tapestry of memories, pain, and hope for the future. "This is not just an event of mourning," says one of the organizers, "but also of connection, of shared healing. We invite everyone to be part of this special moment."

The event expresses the strength of the Gaza envelope community - the ability to cope with the deepest pain, and yet find comfort in each other and hope for better days.

For anyone who feels the pain of the country, for anyone seeking meaning in these difficult times - this event is a small light in the darkness, a reminder of the power of unity and the strength of the human spirit. Don't miss it.

Bobover Rebbe R' Shlomo Halberstam's 23th Yurtziet

This past Sunday August 4th, Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av was the 23rd yahrtzeit of the Bobover Rebbe, Rav Shlomo Halberstam (1908-2000), son of Rav Benzion, grandson of Rav Shlomo, founder of the Bobov dynasty. At the outbreak of World War II, he and his father escaped to Lemberg. On the fourth of Av 1942 his father was killed, and Rav Shlomo escaped to the Bochnia Ghetto. In Bochnia, the Rav lost his rebbetzin and two children. He managed to escape with his only surviving child, Reb Naftali, to Budapest, and then to Bucharest. Rav Shlomo is believed to have been the last remaining Chassidic rebbe to have survived the Holocaust.

Born in the Galicia region of central Europe, Rav Shlomo arrived in the United States in 1946, alone and indigent after his group was largely obliterated by the Nazis. During the war, Rav Shlomo dressed up as a nun in order to rescue other Jews, hiding them in the false bottom of a coal truck. He strove to create a Bobov that would match the Bobov that had been destroyed, working assiduously to build chassidim that his father would have been proud of. Rav Shlomo is widely credited with rebuilding the Bobover community in the United States.
