Mordy Weinstein has captivated audiences for over a decade with his powerful voice and soulful performances. Known for his contributions to numerous hit a cappella tracks and his incredible talent of being misameach chosson vkallah at weddings, Mordy continues to elevate the world of Jewish music.
"Hadur Na’eh," Mordy's latest composition, was composed through a personal connection. Written on Simchas Torah 2023, the day after the tragic events in Israel, the song is a tribute to Mordy's son, Noam. As they stood outside that day, watching the world go by, the gentle melody that came to Mordy provided comfort and solace during that difficult time. Because it was still Yom Tov, Mordy “wrote” the music using a combination of paper towels, beans, and rice.
The lyrics, taken from Yedid Nefesh, evoke thoughts of peace and healing for each individual person, as well as the entire world - which we seek so desperately in these trying times.
