As renowned askan and philanthropist Mr. Shlomo Werdiger neared his seventieth birthday, the Werdiger family approached singer-songwriter Yitzy Waldner, the composer behind two decades of Jewish hits, with a request: create a song that embodies Shlomo’s deep love for all Jews and his heartfelt hopes for a brighter future for the next generation.
Yitzy rose to the occasion with the soul-stirring “Ilan,” a melody that exquisitely reflects the richness of emotion he poured into it.
