Umacha "Baruch Levine"

A message from Boruch Levine :

"Dear Friends,

It has been the מנהג of כלל ישראל that when we say the temporary goodbye to our departed, we recite the פסוק in ישעיה of ומחה ה' דמעה
It always struck me how these words are not sad words, rather they are hopeful words, words we desperately cling to until that time will come.
I composed this song with a balance of minor and major chords. In music, minor chords validate the feeling of sadness and loss, while major chords evoke feelings of happiness and hope.
כלל ישראל feels the pain of too many אבלים in mourning. We are devastated and broken. May Hashem change their sadness to simcha so we can very soon feel the hope and happiness that is waiting for us...... It's right around the corner."

ומחה ה' אלוקים דמעה מעל כל פנים וחרפת עמו יסיר מעל כל הארץ
ישעיהו כה ח
והפכתי אבלם לששון ונחמתים ושמחתים מיגונם.
ירמיהו לא יב

And Hashem will erase the tears from all faces,
And He will remove the disgrace of His people from all of the land
(Yeshaya 25-8)
I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and from their sorrow make them rejoice. (Yirmiya 31-12)
