Man Rescued Trapped Under Burning Car

Dramatic dashcam video captured the moment a group of good Samaritans jumped in to save a driver trapped underneath a burning car in Pennsylvania.

The driver lost control of his SUV on March 14, went airborne and crashed into several unoccupied vehicles in a school’s parking lot, the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department said in a statement.

The vehicle caught fire after it overturned, trapping the driver underneath.

An officer’s dashcam recorded several people flipping over the man’s car and pulling him from the burning vehicle. The department thanked the brave bystanders who didn’t hesitate to help.

“Without their assistance, the incident could have ended in a tragic manner,” the department wrote, adding that it hopes to identify everyone who helped at the scene to recognize them for their “compassionate and heroic actions.”

The driver was later transported to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

No students or staff were hurt in the crash.
