Segulah for Protection Against Parking Tickets?
The holy Tzadik and Baal Mofes Reb Shayale of Kerestir (1851 – Iyar 3, 1925), to which Yidden were drawn with invisible cords of love and hope, where the unsolvable problems were resolved, where the incurably ill found healing, where souls numb with cold felt warmth. Fiery Chassidim found truth, and hungry travelers found nourishment. The Rebbe - who labored in Torah, poured out his heart in prayer, and seemed to exist in a realm of his own between heaven and earth - would stop everything if a Jew needed a cold drink or warm bed, would cease his holy toil to help another. Still today, thousands converge on his burial place each year on his yahrtzeit, and those connecting with his ideals and message feel the force of his merit accompanying them.
His image is used as an amulet or Segulah by many, to help ward away mice and in general to offer protection against misfortune.
In this video, a picture of Reb Shayele Kerestirer is seen placed on a dashboard of two separate vehicles parked in the Boro Park section of Brooklyn, NY. Perhaps as a Shemira not to get ticketed for parking near a fire hydrant and for not displaying a proper registration sticker.

Ivri Anochi/Schar Mitzvah Mix! by Simcha Jacoby (audio)
Ivri Anochi- Schar Mitzvah. Two great songs. Two great music arrangements. What happens when you sing these songs on the opposite music tracks? It works! And it gives it a whole new feel! It's all because the style and the music are very similar to each other. The Ivri Anochi/Schar Mitzvah Mix featuring Simcha Jacoby, starts with the Ivri Anochi song to the music from the Schar Mitzvah song. The second song Schar Mitzvah is sung to the music of Ivri Anochi.

Dedi is Back! "Vechozakto" from The Shlager Project
DEDI IS BACK! Listen to "Vechozakto" from The Shlager Project
Who didn’t grow up on Dedi‘s great hits!? Hu Yigal Osanu, Ki Heim Chayeinu, Omnom, and many others, for example. In the past few years Dedi has taken some time off from his musical life, and focused mainly on his business career that he had been working on simultaneously with the music. He conquered virtually every stage in Israel and throughout the world, performed before prime ministers and presidents in Israel and beyond, and even became personal friends with some of them. Now, in the flagship project of the Shlager website, he is coming back and reminding us that there are musical abilities that only he has. The composition is by Levik Tubul, like all of the songs on the album, but for this song Moshe Laufer also arranged the song, and put in his own recognizable style.
In addition to Dedi, The Shlager Project album will be featuring: Lipa, Yeedle, Motty Steinmetz, Yishai Lapidot, Dovid Gabay, Avremi Roth, Shloime Cohen, Yoni Shlomo, Levi Falkowitz, Yosef Chaim Shwekey, Gad Elbaz, and Eli Herzlich. The album will be released IY"H in the coming weeks.

Three Faces: a Personal Story of Jerusalem’s Reunification
It was the picture seen around the world. 50 years ago, three paratroopers were photographed as they liberated the Old City of Jerusalem and prayed at the Western Wall for the first time since 1948.
In June 1967, David Rubinger, a press photographer in Israel, followed IDF forces that were fighting to liberate the Old City of Jerusalem. At the Western Wall, three IDF soldiers posed for a photograph. They were Zion Karasanti, Yitzhak Yifat and Haim Oshri. While their names are not famous, their faces have become a symbol of the reunification of Jerusalem.
Here, they relive their moving experience.

Bear Plays the Piano During Home Invasion
Musicians come in all shapes, sizes and apparently species, according to footage captured on a home surveillance camera.
A bear broke into a Vail, CO apartment last week and took a stab at the piano keys after taking food from the fridge, according to a statement from the Vail Police Department.
According to the statement, the person who rents the apartment called police to report a suspected burglary.
An officer who responded to the call found some minor damage, and surmised that a black bear likely entered the home through an open kitchen window.
The "suspect is still at large," according to police.

200 Year Journey of Mir Limud Hatorah - A.T. Productions
Two hundred years of uninterrupted Torah learning – a moment in a
time, yet an eternity. This beautifully moving niggun, with its equally
powerful lyrics written especially for Yeshivas Mir’s Bicentennial
Anniversary Dinner, somehow manages to describe the indescribable. It
recounts the miraculous saga of Yeshivas Mir and its faithful allegiance
to LimudhaTorah– beginning with its founding in 1817 in an unknown
Polish hamlet with a minyan of talmidim – through the different periods
until today, when its very name has become synonymous with immersion in
learning blihefsek, regardless of circumstances.
The song takes you on a journey from the Yeshiva’s humble beginnings at the dawn of the age of the great European Yeshivos. The stirring Yiddish chorus, based on Tehillim 119, highlights the secret of the Mir’s survival: unrelenting hasmada in the face of all sorts of adversity. The lyrics vividly describe how the Yeshiva triumphed over world wars, devastation by fire, ideological battle of haskallah, financial disaster, and geographic upheaval. Reverently eternalized are the various great leaders who stood at the Mir’s helm with heroic mesirusnefesh throughout the generations, guiding their talmidim and supporters who share in the continued success of the Mir until this day and beyond, until the arrival of Moshiach.
This production was performed live at the historic Dinner by Baruch Levine and Yisroel Werdiger; it was arranged and conducted by Yisroel Lamm. The music was performed by the Aaron Teitelbaum Orchestra & Productions. It is based on an original tune composed by Yom Tov Ehrlich, with brand new lyrics written by Chunna Herskowitz.

20 Riders Crash in Moto3 French Grand Prix
Fans of motorbike racing are used to seeing riders fall off their vehicles but the French Grand Prix took that to another level. At turn six on the second lap of the Moto3 race at Le Mans, France, one rider went down and was followed by an incredible number of others. With the race barely a lap old, the commentators suspected some leaked oil had caused the incident that saw a huge group of riders hit the deck. The race was obviously red-flagged while several riders, including eventual race-winner Joan Mir, went to be checked over after the incident.

V’hareinu - Rechnitz, Levine, Green & Shira - Music Video
This past March in honor of the 200th year anniversary of Mir Yeshiva, Noted philanthropist and composer Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz composed a new song titled “V’hareinu.” The song premiered at their dinner and was well received by the multitudes in attendance.
Before Shavuous, the song is being released with an accompanying video produced by Yochi Briskman. The song features the beautiful voices of Baruch Levine, Moishe Mendlowitz, the harmonious Shira Choir and the angelic child soloist, Avrum Chaim Green.
The lyrics describe the day when this golus will ultimately end, and with genuine joy, we will all return to the holy Bais Hamikdash going back to the days of all of its glory. The song hums along with beautiful scenery from Yerushalayim as all of our brethren are living a “torah” life in harmony. The words of this composition are actually a tefilla, as we constantly yearn for the rebuilding of the Bayis Shlishi , the most anticipated days when the Kohanim will return to their Avodah and the Leviim will harmoniously sing their heart stirring Shira, as the rest of Klal Yisrael return to the place they all belong together, in none other than the land of our forefathers which was promised to us, Yerushalayim Ir Hakodesh.

Staging News Before Making the Report
CNN is dismissing critics who claim the network staged a demonstration to make Muslims look sympathetic in light of the weekend terror attacks in London.
A video uploaded online showed CNN correspondent Becky Anderson preparing to narrate video of a group of Muslims holding up signs in solidarity with the victims of the attacks.
Before Anderson begins her reporting, the demonstrators are seen being guided by police into a spot together so that the camera can frame the shot in an area that had been blocked off by police.
"This story is nonsense," CNN said in a statement. "The group of demonstrators that was at the police cordon was being allowed through by officers so they could show their signs to the gathered media. The CNN crew along with other media present simply filmed them doing so."
The rampage in London on Saturday night involved a car plowing into a crowd and knifemen stabbing pedestrians. At least seven were killed and nearly 50 were injured.

Refoeini, Featuring Child soloist Yossi Blumberg
There are rare moments of difficult times when a Neshomo has a deep desire to express both it’s pain and prayer in the form of a heartrending melody. Sometimes this inspiration can emanate even when the soul is hovering between the celestial and earthly spheres.
Such is the story behind our brand new musical sensation entitled Refoeini.
During a difficult episode of illness, whilst in a deep coma, the soulful musical notes were formed, with our composer then awakening with the tune of Refoeini on his lips, thus effecting a wellspring of fervent hope and gratitude to Hashem.
There is no doubt the discerning listener will be nourished by the spiritual treasure trove of musical gems to be had in Refoeini, not only because of the meaningful words and warmth of the composition, but also due to the rich orchestral sentiments combined with the purity of an innocent child’s voice.

I called and told her to take the grand-kids into the basement. As I filmed the time-lapse video, I watched as it passed just behind their subdivision in an open field."
