A man was spotted risking his own life to save a wild rabbit as a wildfire took hold and thousands of people were told to evacuate.
The bunny was hopping dangerously close to the flames and was luckily spotted by a man driving past.
He pulled over and was caught on camera panicking as he chased the animal along the undergrowth.
The man can be seen searching for the creature, but when he couldn't see it any longer, he began jumping up and down in sheer panic.
Luckily the rabbit eventually reappeared and the man leapt into action, bending down to scoop it up inside his hoody.
