Nachamu – Dudi Knopfler ft. Malchus Choir

Nachamu is a song of the moment, marking the musical comeback of legendary composer Rabbi Burech Chait. Like Jerusalem itself, it is both timely and timeless. As a balm to soothe the aching collective heart of Jews in exile, it strikes a paradoxical chord by being both mournful and uplifting. Such is the nature of yearning.

As the camera snakes its way through the cobbled streets of the Old City, we catch up with Dudi and his ensemble of talented vocalists from Israel’s most esteemed Malchus Choir. Their journey against Jerusalem’s magnificent ruins may lament our hometown’s destruction, but their voices rise into a song of hope for the future. Join them as we pray that what is Old should be made new again.
