The cost of making a chasunah is astronomical. Many are overwhelmed at the thought of assembling the necessary funds to properly establish their children’s future. That’s where Chuppa steps in.
Chuppa is a unique tzedaka (charity) organization which assists more than 200 New York area kallahs (brides) a year. The kallahs (brides) of Chuppah are taken on shopping excursions with an in-house personal shopper and outfitted with a complete wardrobe of their choice, including clothing, shoes, and lingerie befitting the first year of marriage and beyond.
In addition, every kallah (bride) receives a complete package of top quality housewares from our state-of-the-art showroom, where she can select from the finest in kitchen, bath, and home goods by private appointment. A beautiful selection of fine linens tops off the experience, allowing her to feel pampered and indulged as every kallah (bride) should.
Many kallahs (brides) never realize that they are the beneficiaries of tzedakah (charity) at all. We make every effort to maximize the joyful kallah (bride) experience and to minimize the discomfort of dependence.
Chuppa does everything possible to turn a kallah’s (brides) special day into a dream come true.
With your benevolent support, we can keep bringing joy and dignity to every kallah (bride) as she walks down the aisle to her Chuppa!
They say, “it takes a village to raise a child.” We say, “it takes a community to marry one off.”
