Oorahthon Show-Hosts Break Their Teeth to Notify an Israeli Winner! - When the winner of $18,000 was chosen at Oorah's annual Auction prize drawings, the hosts at the "Oorahthon" radio show [where they call the winners live on air to notify them of their win] knew immediately that they were going to be in for a challenge. The winner was an Israel-native and did not speak any English, while the show-hosts were barely knowledgeable in Hebrew. The show-hosts took the challenge and placed the call, and the outcome was hilarious!
Grandmother of Boy with Down's Syndrome Calls Fiveish at the Oorahthon - Fiveish gets an unexpected call during the "Fiveish hour" at Oorah's annual live "Oorahthoon" radio show. Fiveish was taking calls from kids who were calling to win some exciting prizes by answering the "Fiveish Trivia", when suddenly an unexpected call came in. A Grandmother of a child with Down's Syndrome called in, saying that her grandson loves Fiveish, and would be delighted to win some of the Fiveish paraphernalia that were being given out. She said her 5-year-old grandson is always talking about Oorah's famous mascot and dancing to his tunes.
Fiveish graciously allowed her to answer the Trivia questions, and "Bubby" was able to bring home some exciting paraphernalia for her excited grandson!
