You probably don't think much of the guardrails lining the roads you drive on, but this clip will change that. At this past weekend's Rally Islas Canarias, a single guardrail prevented Tomasz Kasperczyk and his Ford Fiesta RS from tumbling down a mountain. As if you needed another reminder that while exciting, rally racing is often terrifying.
The crash was a result of a brake failure. You can see his right rear tire lock up just before hitting the guardrail. Amazingly, Kasperczyk and co-driver Damain Syty were able to get out of the car and walk away.
