A Group of kayakers in British Columbia were taking in the sights and enjoying watching a mother Humpback nurse her calf before things took a dramatic turn.
Humpback whales are extremely large marine mammals and getting too close can be dangerous.
The kayakers were taking video of the nearby mother, when the whale suddenly dove out of the water. It was an amazing sight for them, until it happened again, only closer.
One of the people in the group can her heard screaming to get back when the whale appeared so close.
They were all lucky that the whale didn't get any closer after that encounter.
