Riding the World's Most Dangerous Road

Located in the valley of Pangi in India lies the world’s most dangerous road.

This group of men wouldn't hesitate after they filmed themselves in a vertigo-inducing video braving one of the world's most dangerous roads in India on motorbikes.

Charanpreet Singh uploaded their breathtaking journey from Killar in Pangi Valley, Himachal Pradesh to Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir to YouTube where it has quickly gone viral.

He wrote: 'This stretch from Killar to Kishtwar between two villages Ishtyari and Tyari is also known as cliffhanger and is one of the most dangerous, scary, and exciting road patches of India.' Singh rides behind two companions - no doubt giving them the scarier ordeal as they are first to face obstacles.

They drive carefully along a narrow path at the top of a high cliff, rock jutting out above them and a spectacular view to their right of the mountains - it's probably best not to look down too much on this trip.

While they appear relatively confident for much of their journey, when they tackle corners they take care to hug the cliff face and use their feet to push themselves along in order to have more control.
Another impressive view is of a waterfall pouring off the high cliff above them, Singh refers to them as 'mystical' as he stares up in wonder. Navigating some of the water tumbling onto their path proves tricky and the bikes slow considerably as they bump along through the enormous puddles.

There are several hair-raising moment when their bike drives perilously close to the edge and quite fast given the circumstances - but it seems they are in control throughout.

Curious if there are any rest stops along the way - something like a Cheepsquake Rest Area on the GSP.
