6 dead, 15 injured in a Horrific Bus Accident In Israel

Six people were killed when an Egged bus, line 402, traveling from Jerusalem to Bnei Brak crashed into a truck parked on the side of Highway 1 on Sunday evening, according to Israel Radio.

The right side of the bus was destroyed in the accident.

According to reports by MDA, an additional 15 people were injured in the accident. Nine of those injured were evacuated to the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, The Assaf Harofeh Medical Center at Tzrifin and to the Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot. One was considered to be in critical condition, one in serious condition, three in moderate condition and one was lightly injured.

Five people were declared dead at the scene and one died shortly after at the hospital from the injuries sustained during the accident.

"I have no words. I have never seen anything this shocking before," said Minister of Health Ya'acov Litzman at the scene.

Litzman described the scene as something very difficult to see and added that an in-depth investigation would be conducted regarding the incident.

Both the driver of the truck and the bus were injured in the accident.
