TV Reporter Report's on Bank Robbery Spots Suspect

A KIMT News 3 reporter became part of the story Tuesday when a suspected bank robber he was reporting on ran past him during his live shot.

According to the station's website, reporter Adam Sallet was reporting live in Rochester, MN on a suspected Sterling State Bank robbery. Just as he started his live shot on scene during the MidDay News, he's stopped by a bank employee who runs out of the building, points off screen and tells Sallet the bank robber just ran by.

"What? Oh, that's the robber," he says. "Uh, this is live TV, folks. That's the robber that just went by."

Before Sallet runs off screen, he says, "I gotta go here and call 911. I'll talk to you later."

The station reports the 36-year-old suspected robber was arrested after allegedly trying to rob the Rochester bank again. He previously escaped police after an attempted robbery of the bank on Monday.
