Massive Explosion at Chinese Petro Chemical Plant

Video has emerged of a huge explosion and fireball that engulfed a petrochemical plant in China following a gas leak last week Thursday July 16 2015.

In the footage, captured in Shandong Province on Thursday, a huge fire can be seen in the distance, before another explosion erupts, leading to more blazes.

The fire started around 7.40 am local time in Rizhao, a coastal city in Shandong province. More than a hundred firefighters were battling a massive blaze that broke out at a petrochemical plant in Eastern China on Thursday morning. China's state media reported a number of explosions as the flames reached tanks containing highly-flammable materials.

According to reports, the accident was caused by a liquefied hydrocarbon leak. Two firemen suffered minor injuries, but there were no casualties.
