Teens Arrested, Accused of Throwing Eggs in New Square

Four teens were arrested today for throwing eggs on Orthodox Jewish boys in the Village of New Square early Sunday morning, Ramapo police said.

Police say they responded to the area of Washington Avenue in the New Square following a report that occupants of a vehicle were throwing eggs at pedestrians. Upon arrival, bystanders directed officers to a vehicle occupied by four individuals. Officers on scene conducted an investigation and the four occupants of the vehicle were placed under arrest.

No injuries or damage to property were reported.

The four – three Males ages 19, 18, 16, and a 19-year-old Female – were arrested and charged with Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor. The four suspects are currently being processed at the Ramapo Police Department.
