More than 40 cars and trucks were involved in a huge pileup on Interstate 80 in Wyoming on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, 33 semi trucks and 12 other vehicles crashed during a blizzard between Cheyenne and Laramie. Many other motorists were stranded behind the accident that completely blocked the highway.
Sixteen victims were taken by ambulance and 11 more were taken by a school bus to a hospital in Cheyenne. Six were listed in critical condition, but the Wyoming Highway Patrol said there are no reports of fatalities.
