Chuppa Kallah Fund is a unique, fully volunteer led tzedakah organization assisting over 200 kallahs a year in the most honored tradition of Matan B'sesser. The kallahs of Chuppa are taken on a shopping spree with a personal shopper to provide them with all of their colothes, shoes, and lingerie for the first year of marriage and beyond. Many never realize that they are the beneficiaries of tzedakkah. In addition, every kallah receives a complete houseware package, of top quality merchandise. We provide every necessary item that a kallah needs to run a kosher kitchen and home. We also provide beautiful linen which the kallah chooses, as well as blankets and pillows.
By Supporting Chuppa you are a partner in building many future generations of Klal Yisroel

Chaos During Yazidi Airdrop
CNN photojournalist Mark Phillips captured a dramatic rescue of Yazidis during an Iraqi military humanitarian airdrop.
Burned by the sun, blistered with thirst and weak from exhaustion, thousands of Yazidis on Sunday fled the mountain on which they had been trapped for a week, streaming into Iraq’s northern Kurdistan region after a harrowing escape from extremist fighters that some said was aided by U.S. airstrike
Thousands are still stranded on the mountain, either because they are surrounded in their villages by militants with the Islamic State or are simply too weak to walk. Others have died trying to reach safety, falling by the wayside on the barren, rocky mountain for lack of food and water.
Airdrops of food and water — which apparently went awry — were followed by airstrikes, including four on Friday that targeted Islamic State positions around the mountain.
The exodus was touched off by an assault Aug. 3 by the Islamic State against the northeastern Iraqi town of Sinjar, where tens of thousands of members of the long-persecuted Yazidi faith live. They ran for their lives to Mount Sinjar, creating a humanitarian catastrophe that has captured the attention of the world and prompted President Obama to intervene.

Hundreds At Funeral Of Joseph Raksin In BP & CH
Hundreds of mourners gathered at a funeral procession in Brooklyn Monday for an Orthodox rabbi who was shot and killed as he walked to a Miami synagogue over the weekend.
A crowd surrounded the hearse on a blocked-off street as it pulled up outside the Chabad-Lubavitch headquarters for the procession of Rabbi Joseph Raksin. The 60-year-old rabbi was described as a peace-loving man. “We were very close,” Raksin’s brother-in-law, Isaac Neworth, said. “He was an amazing individual, he personified goodness, kindness, those ideals.” “To pay the ultimate price with his life is something that we can’t even grasp that it actually happened,” said Rabbi Shea Hecht.
Raksin was in Miami visiting relatives when police said he was confronted by two men and shot while walking to a synagogue on Saturday.
The reward for information leading to an arrest in the case is up to $50,000.

Backflip On High-Rise Building Almost Ends Tragically
This is the heart-stopping moment a daredevil loses his balance on a sky-high building – and nearly falls to his death. The man, a 24-year-old called Sergey, is filmed doing a back-flip but instead of landing squarely on his feet, his left foot misses the platform and he almost falls 150 meters to the ground below.
But rather than crying over the close shave Sergey - who performed the stunt in Ashdod, Israel - laughs it off.

Funeral For Murdered Rabbi Yosef Raksin In Miami
South Florida's Jewish community continued to grapple with the death of an Orthodox rabbi, one day after, police said, he was gunned down while walking to Synagogue on the Sabboss.
60-year-old Yosef Raksin was confronted by two men Saturday morning as the he was walking to Bais Menachem Chabad, a synagogue located a few blocks away. An altercation ensued, and then one of the subjects took out a gun and shot Raksin. "The bullet just went from the side here all the way down, went out," said Shully Lepokovski, Raksin's daughter. "The thing is, it went through and it touched the heart." Good Samaritan Jean Louis Denis said he ran out to help Raksin as soon as he heard the gunshot. "I talked a little bit to him; he gave me his name, that he was from New York," he said, "and he told me that two males were the people that did this." Raksin was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
The local Jewish community is offering a $50,000 reward to anyone with any information leading to an arrest. If you have any information on this shooting, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
