Four Killed in Terror Attack at Jerusalem Synagogue

Four people were murdered and six people wounded Tuesday morning, after two Arab terrorists entered the Kehillas Bnai Torah Yeshiva Synagogue on Agassi Street during Shacharis prayers in Jerusalem's religious Har Nof neighborhood bearing guns, axes, and knives.

Among the wounded are two policeman, one critically wounded during the shootout with the terrorists. Medics rescued him under fire.

The terrorists, shouting "Allahu Akhbar", began attacking worshipers, stabbing them, before opening fire.

One of the four victims in Tuesday’s deadly terror attack at a Jerusalem synagogue was the leader of a local yeshiva.  Rabbi Moshe Twersky, the 60-year-old dean of the English-speaking Torat Moshe yeshiva, was the first victim of the attack to be named.  His funeral was scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Givat Shaul cemetery in the capital.  Twersky was the elder son of the renowned rabbi and author Rabbi Yitzhak (Isadore) Twersky of Boston, and a grandson of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, one of the principle philosophers and founders of the Modern Orthodox movement.
