Israel, Hamas Cease-Fire Plans Appear to Be Failing - An Egyptian proposal for a cease-fire to end a weeklong air war between Israel and Hamas appears to be crumbling. WSJ's Tamer El-Ghobashy in Tel Aviv and Nick Casey in Gaza City join Simon Constable on the News Hub to discuss.


A rocket launched in Gaza hit a cowshed in the Gaza envelope. 30 Cows nestled within the cowshed were killed. Twenty people were severely wounded in the explosion.


Iron Dome in Action -Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system has been essential in keeping Israelis safe from over the 1,000 rockets fired by Gazan terrorists at Israel during Operation Protective Edge. It has shot down over 200 missiles targeting population centers in just 8 days.

Some rockets land in open areas and pose little threat, but many others hit cities and towns. It's these rockets that the Iron Dome system intercepts, calculating their trajectory and neutralizing them before they cause damage.
