Life for Lubavitcher Chasidim has never be the same since their Rebbe suffered a stroke in March of 1992.
Many of the songs composed during the bog-wars and color-wars at the 3 Lubavitcher overnight camps of the summers thereafter, had a common theme of yearning for their Rebbe, to return to his full health. In 1994, shorty after the passing of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, a group of young men released a recorded album titled "Oy Rebbe" which contained many of those songs.
