EMT and founder of United Hatzalah Eli Beer re-imagined first response and the power of community, saving 40,000 lives this year alone. He shared the story of its beginnings at the recent TEDMED conference in D.C.

Once a year at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, TEDMED curates an unusual and provocative program on the Opera House stage. The 3 ½ day program features short talks and artistic performances that celebrate the power of unexpected connections to create important new possibilities.
