President Obama's Remarks On Israel
President Barack Obama of the United States said, Sunday, "Israel has every right to expect that it does not have missiles fired into its territory," adding, "if that can be accomplished without a ramping up of military activity in Gaza, that is preferable." Speaking in Thailand at the start of a trip that will also take him to Myanmar and Cambodia, Obama said, "That is not just preferable for the people of Gaza, it is also preferable for Israelis because if Israeli troops are in Gaza, they are much more at risk of incurring fatalities or being wounded."
