Rabbi Holds iPhone Smashing Ceremony

At the end of Hakafos Shniyos by Rabbi Moshe Tzedakah Rosh Yeshiva Porat Yosef, the rabbi recited a brief prayer and the Bochur broke his iPhone

True iphones can be used for bad stuff, but my brothers use them almost solely for learning Torah.

Technology should be used to help our Avodas Hashem, not trashed.

my father remembers 40-50 years ago when the tape recorder came out it was the same thing then...... we gotta learn to live with it in a responsible way

i was there! the guy took his sim out first of all, and the iphone wasnt working before hand, it was a garbage one.. this is a publicity stunt!!!
