A battle is brewing between parents of Grandview Elementary School students in Monsey NY and members of the Orthodox Jewish community. Parents say Orthodox community members are routinely trespassing across the property during school hours to get to synagogue and friends' homes.
Members of the Orthodox Jewish community say they were not aware school property was off-limits during the school day but feel there is a need to find common ground on this issue. The superintendent of the East Ramapo School District says no one is allowed on school grounds other than students and staff during regular school hours.

I think the local Jewish community should issue a statement of non approval and apology for this act
The guy in the video saying "antisemitism" caused a huge chillul hashem. We need to urge him to publicly apologize for the benefit of our community.
why dont they sit down and get some permit to walk on yomtov maybe with a pass of some kind so to make Hashem proud
I used to live in Monsey. There was always a lot of antagonizism between the local Jews and the Orthodox community. Please do not be so quick to judge, as they, coupled with Gentiles, have caused many needless disputes.
I'd like to know what alleged security threat they posed. They just seemed to be quietly walking down a wooded path. No one seemed to be trying to enter the school building. No children seemed to be outside on a rainy day, anywhere near where these people were walking by. What was the harm? It seems some of the the local residents and school personnel (whose salaries are paid in great measure by these taxpaying orthodox local residents) were looking to make an issue where none exists.
