A suicidal man has been standing on the outer edge of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to Staten Island, on July 23 2012. threatening to jump. Police say the man appears to be in his 30s and is described as an "emotionally disturbed person."After a few hours The man then allowed officers to rescue him from the beam, which was 15 feet from the roadway and about 400 feet above the water, escaping uninjured.
