Swastikas Found Painted Across Borough Park

The hate graffiti littered the area around 16th Avenue and 46th Street, with swastikas painted on a school, a synagogue, a minivan, a deli and a supermarket, among other places. Surveillance video indicates that the damage was done around 2:30 a.m. and was the work of at least two young men who police say were clearly seen on the tape scrawling the graffiti. Detectives have seized the video and are working feverishly to identify the suspects.
"I never saw this happen in all my life," Borough Park resident Menachem Ben-Simcha said. "I pray in here. I'm here for services every day. It reminds you of the second World War." No arrests were immediately made.
