Tens of thousands of Chabad-Lubavitch chassidim met Monday night in Tel Aviv to celebrate finishing the Rambam for the 30th time. The chassidim have been learning according to a program put forth by the last Lubavitcher Rebbe, who called to learn three chapters of Rambam every day in order to finish the book Mishne Torah once a year.
Singer Avraham Fried appeared at the event. Fried, now a well-known performer, sang at the first annual celebration 30 years ago.
