Israeli PM Visit Ground Zero

Prime Minister Benajamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara laid a wreath Thursday night in commemoration of the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks at the newly opened memorial site at Ground Zero.
The prime minister said that it was important to him to visit the place where thousands were killed a decade ago. He added that the eternal alliance between the US and Israel was signed with the blood of the terror victims who lost their lives in the criminal attack ten years ago. Global terror does not discern between victims.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe on Israel & US

Israel and the U.S.: Friendship through Strength

The only approach which has succeeded so far is when Israel makes clear to the United States through its actions, that it will not compromise on security issues, and that the US needs a strong partner in the Middle East. 14 Cheshvan 5750 - November 12, 1989.

Torah's Mandate: Defend Yourselves!

"The Guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps" -- at all times Jews are protected by G-d. But we are commanded to also take part in our own security.

First and foremost we must strengthen our "spiritual weaponry." G-d enjoins us: "If you will follow My statutes and observe My commandments...I shall set peace upon the land." But this must include the most fundamental Mitzvah to preserve the life of every single Jew -- to follow the explicit ruling in Jewish law concerning Jews in danger, wherever they may be, to take weapons in hand and defend themselves.

G-d wants us to employ conventional, practical means of self-defense. During exile, while other nations have influence on our security, we must seek to obtain weapons and receive financial aid from them, without compromising any part of Judaism, certainly not matters of life and death.

19 Tishrei 5741 - September 29, 1980.

Sign Petition for Sholom Rubashkin

On Friday, September 16, 2011, the Eight Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed a draconian sentence on Sholom Rubashkin, a sentence which is essentially a life sentence for him and his wife and 10 children. The White House promises an official response to every petition that garners at least 5000 signatures in a span of 30 days.

Apartment Block Collapses as Scared Residents Watch

Dramatic footage has gone viral portraying a very lucky escape for residents of a downtown five-story building in Vladivostok (in Eastern Russia) that literally collapsed in hours. The block’s residents had reported cracks in the walls appearing before their eyes to emergency services, who immediately evacuated everyone from the building. Not long after, the walls gave way and literally collapsed on to the street, covering the area with a coat of dust. The lucky escape has prompted the city mayor to review all potentially hazardous housing stock in the Far-Eastern capital.

Matisyahu's Elijah's Song

The song recorded in the ICU is titled 'Elijah's Song' and thanks to his super star friend, the boy's song is now being heard all over the country. Matisyahu: "Whenever I sing that song, I feel I'm with him. I feel our spirits are intertwined." Wendy: "The biggest legacy a parent could have for her child, I think, the words that he wrote, 'never give up, never quit.' I think that's the lesson for all of us."

Elijah may be gone, but his message of hope is very much alive. An organization called Kids of Courage, which helps improve the lives of kids with serious medical conditions helped make Elijah's dream come true to record the song with Matisyahu. The money from the song goes to help his family and to help other children facing diseases.

Debunking the Palestine Lie

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has launched an international campaign to achieve recognition by the United Nations for an independent Palestinian state. Abbas and his international supporters claim that only Israel (with the United States) stands in the way of this act of historical justice, which would finally bring about peace in the Middle East.

This video debunks the Palestinians' claim and shows that Abbas has been lying about the origins and history of the conflict. Palestinian leaders have rejected partition plans that would have given them much more land for their independent state than the Jews were offered for theirs. Rather than being the innocent victims of a "dispossession" at the hands of the Israelis, the Palestinians rejected reasonable compromises and instead pursued their aim of getting rid of the only Jewish state in the world.
