The Chilul Hashem in this isn't only the person who spit on the young girl. He was wrong. The Chilul Hashem is portraying the Israeli media's slanted bias to the entire world.
Where do you thin CBS gets their information from? The Israeli media which is virulently anti-Charedi.
There is a true Torah viewpoint of all this but the Rabbonim are smart enough to realize now is not the time to portray it; it will only be turned around and slammed in their face.
The spitter is wrong- his message of tzniyus and kedusha is an entirely different story.
