Is it Okay to Prank Your Child?

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel issued a challenge to all parents, asking them to pretend they ate all of their children's Holloween candy and to videotape their reactions. Kimmel later said "i guess didn't expect so much crying, i kind of thought the kids would be just mad, but almost everyone of them cries..."

Some children seem to feel more betrayed when their parent tell them they were kidding, than when they say they ate the candy.

The "Mature older brother" with little brother.

" I thought I blew it when I said carrots. I had to cover my mouth with my shirt."

"I saw the clip of all the kids on Jimmy Kimmel and was shocked at all the tears!! I decided to try it out on G&G and see how they would react :) Kind of mean but no harm done...."

"oh it was priceless.. and they did get their candy right after the video."

"My kid laughed after this, so no hateful comments ok. She knows it was a joke. She actually loves to play jokes on us all the time :)"

"Jimmy Kimmel challenged parents to tell their kids we ate their candy. So after Kooper got home from school I did just that :0)"

"Hey Jimmy Kimmel I told my kid I ate all the halloween candy. Didn't work out, considering 7 year olds love candy."

"Hi jimmy Kimmel, I told Alexah her dad & I ate all her Halloween candy while she was playing with a kitty. She said, I'm going to keep the cat then! Lol"

"This is Hannah right after I woke her up for school the morning after Halloween I played it back for her and she was laughing at herself so she's okay everybody!"

Part 2
